- Flan de Leche Condensada is hands down one of my all time favorite Sweets and Desserts! This easy flan recipe is a sweet custard with the perfect homemade caramel. Ingredients:
4 Whole Eggs
12 oz Sweet Condensed Milk (1 can)
1 cup Sugar
12oz Evaporated Milk (1 can)
2 tbs water
1-2 tbs Vanilla Extract *to taste
¼ tsp Salt

I made another flan and it was better than the first! No bubbles. Sugar melted beautifully. Just velvety, smooth texture. My husband said it was the best flan ever! Thanks Chef Zoe!
First time ever making it, I was petrified to mess it up. But I followed your steps to a T and it came out PERFECT!!! Best flan I’ve ever had, hands down! The only thing I did differently was add about 2 tbs of rum extract with the vanilla. I highly recommend trying it… it brings out the nuttiness in the caramel and enhances that vanilla flavor. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!

I made this recipe a couple of weeks ago and it came out amazing. Your tip for the caramel was spot on. If you blink, you can easily burn the caramel which won't be good at all. It came out great and tasted awesome. Thanks for the recipe :)

Girl!!!! I made this Wednesday and had it yesterday for thanksgiving, OMG when I tell you it was sooooo smooth and creamy!! Thank you thank you! Your my flan savior! Lol. Everyone says to stir the caramel you said to leave it which is what I did , now I think everyone who says to stir it doesn’t know what their doing lol.
This is great. Caramel is SUPER SCARY! I worked at a caramel apple station at a traveling carnival when I was 14 for a couple of weeks one summer and we got literally no training, and I still have a scar on my thumb from when I got caramel on it. OUCH! But this looks incredibly delicious.
I’m so excited!!! I loooove flan and I also trust all your recipes cause you’ve taught me how to cook most of my favorite meals. I’m also Dominican so I’m proud to be able to cook some delicious Dominican food. 😊😊😊😋😋

Best instructions of Flan I haVE SEEN. I am still working on getting a nice smooth consistent caramel which I find the hardest part. If you want to make a desert that includes home made whip cream, the one thing I am really good at , I would love to see your work. Remember I am a beginner.

I made it following your recipe and it turned out great! I cooked it for 50" at 325ºF, but it was still "too hard" for my taste. I'll decrease the cooking time to 45" instead next time I make it, and I'm sure I'll will be PERFECT! The texture was super smooth following all your tips! Thanks!

Bien Hecho. This a recipe I have been using for over 30 years. The salt made me smile. I also use a pinch of salt when I make Cafe con Leche. I would love to hear your Dad's story. My parents, I and my three brothers left Havana in 1969. It took us 8 years to leave Cuba. It's a great American Immigrant story. Have you ever tried Cuban Capuchino? (Capuchinos y Cabezotes Cubanos)

My husband said this was the BEST flan.
I did burn my sugar a little. But i just tried it today for a second time i feel CONFIDENT to bring it to a gathering. If you are hesitating try it. And YES like Chef Zee said be careful when distributing the caramelized sugar in your baking… i could feel how hot that tin pan got on its own as i did that- can’t imagine it touching the skin.

Cannot wait to try this recipe out. I bought a fancy Flanera but would like to try with a round cake pan like how you made this recipe. It appears like a non-stick pan you used as well. I will search for a non-stick, probably helps so the caramel does not stick when flipping.

Hello, I am planning to make this, if you don't mind, I want to ask you a question. I don't live in the US so I use the metric system. As she mentioned, use 1 can or 12oz of condensed milk, but when I searched for a US can, it's 14oz. So when you made it, you just used the whole can or measured out 12oz. Thank you
