  • The latest episode of has Richard and his new crew Dawson, Emma, and Sam tending to new foals and starting colts.
    Low Country Cowboys is your internet destination for ranch life, cowboys, cowgirls, great ranch horses, and just life outside. We are an American family living out our dream of living with horses, cows, and each other! Its not always easy or romantic, but we wouldn't trade it for anything. From starting colts, to training cutting, rope, ranch and rodeo horses, working cows, cooking, playing with the dogs, and raising wild deer!! This is a special life!!

    Once again, enjoy watching you work with horses. It's great to watch trainers like yourself who work with horses , that requires them to do a job. Your wealth of experience is extremely appreciated.

    Such a joy to watch your patience with the young horses. I love that they will never know careless, impatient handling. Was so excited to see your new video! Keep them coming. : )

    You have to foal early to avoid the heat and we don't foal till May to avoid the cold. I've tried foaling in April and I always get a later blizzard so we stick with May.

    So so true on the bridling part! I had to take the time to undue a problem with bridling on a horse I bought; because obviously somebody did a horrible job with him! I also really like your subtle sense of humor! Like your videos. Think I'll hit the subscribe button!

      @@LowCountryCowboys she defines the concept "it's in her bloodline..."
      I worked with a lot of Mustangs I used to get out of Canyon city in Colorado where we lived. If I picked the one with a good mind the end result was always amazing. A horse with nice bloodline and fine training could go far.

  • @danielbailey809
    @danielbailey809 Před 4 lety

    I'd like to comment on the bridle.. you shouldn't put a bridal on the way you do.. with all. If like you have the horse in your balance area you on the shoulder so they can't back away from you putting it straight in the mouth.. working from the side is safer for you not to be struck. Try it with that motion and bet you move forward in a more quiet manner of respect for you and the horse. If you want I'd like to come join you and learning from each other would make lots of fun and I enjoy the Ballance of the mind body and soul of horses and good horsemanship.
