I am admittedly biased towards Draisaitl, I've been viewing him for a long time and still as 2nd best player in the world, behind McDavid of course. IQ over the roof, positioning over the roof, passing over the roof, scoring one timers like no one else on the planet since forever, for me despite very good shortcomings you mention (mean-ness and putting a 'steak-in-the-ground' aggressively in important games), sets him on 2nd overall, or worst 3rd behind Matthews. That is iit. Agree overall with your thinking, criterias, etc.
