Regardless of when it happens, I think a full fat mainline Direct is practically guaranteed by the second week of June.

I definitely think we'll be getting some kind of presentation in the first half of April. As much as I really, *really* want it to be a Switch successor reveal, I'd be satisfied with a general direct with first party announcements.
Personally I never thought of the Nintendo Switch 2 official reveal at least not coming until June. April will most likely be something for the next quarter of the year. But I can also see it not just being games but maybe reference the movies, theme parks and museums.
I'm still hoping that they will announce that Mario will be making his debut in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as a giant balloon.
I'd like to see Astral Chain 2 announced this year.
If we get even HALF of that I will be completely amazed.
I hope I can finish Rise of Ronin and Princess Peach Showtime before Paper Mario comes out.
I'm not expecting Zelda HD since they still haven't released it. I want the Oracle games to get remade. I'm not sure if they'll ever make an Imprisoning War Hyrule Warriors.

Then just buy a WiiU. If that's the only games you want then just buy the WiiU, both of those games are already remastered on that console

Rumors say Nintendo is going to remake OoT by 2026 and if they are remaking OoT you can bet they will remake Majora Mask, so no point in porting those. Would I want the OoT and MM 3DS versions ported to the Switch or Switch 2? yes, of course, but will it happen? with the rumors of the OoT remake rumors going around, it´s unlikely

Yeah its still criminal they haven't ported the ALttP + FS GBA game to GBA Online. Especially since they did that exact thing for Kirby.

I wonder what Nintendo is waiting for. We are almost the 4th month of the year and we don't know what Nintendo is doing for 2024. Princess peach was announced in 2023, it doesn't count neither the last direct does (only indie titles)

Endless Ocean: Luminous is the only already confirmed non-Mario 2024 Nintendo game that hasn’t released yet
I think the remaining Nintendo games are Luigi's Mansion 2 HD and Endless Ocean Luminous. But we also know that they are working on Metroid Prime 4, Pokemon Legends Z - A, there are also the rumors of older games getting a HD remake like the two Zelda games and the Metroid Prime games. So I feel like there are more then we know of that they are working on. But not until later in the year. Which could explain the lull right now. Plus the next direct will most likely cover the movies, theme parks and museum too. So I expect the next couple of directs will most likely be great even if it is still mainly later in the year games
I want a Switch port of Yoshi's Woolly World, a double pack of Triple Deluxe & Planet Robobot for Switch, Switch port of F-Zero GX, Super Mario 3D All Stars Plus for Switch which gives us; 64, Sunshine, 64 DS, Galaxy 1, Galaxy 2, & 3D Land. I also want a Switch port of Fire Emblem: Genealogy Of The Holy War, & a new Rhythm Heaven game for Switch!

I just hope something Metroid is at the next Direct, I could care less if its a new trailer and release date for Metroid Prime 4 or a HD Remaster of Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, just so as long as it isn't something that disgraces the franchise like Other M or Federation Force.
I don't understand how Zelda can or should be a hot candidate. We have so many games in the Nintendo catalog that need remastered or remade and there are so many Zelda fanatics claiming that they "need" a remaster of TP, WW, or a remake of OoT. Can we seriously just put it all in one and release it two generations in a row so we can stop hearing the Zelda fanatics bitching about how neglected they seem to feel already?

Botw formatt is complete.. I think Nintendo might go back to dungeon formila but open world like twillight princes but 10 times bigger making it harder to find or enter dungeons etc..
If they release WW... maybe the new Zelda game in the future will be an open world on the seas and islands....just saying.
Kind of like when they released Skyward Sword.....which we got an open world in the sky part in TOTK🤷.

2024 is the year of Metroid. Metroid Prime 2 Remastered will be shadowdropped...
...and we will get the first reveal of Metroid Prime 4 in June or September with its release in 2025.
Metroid Prime 3 Remastered will release in 2025. The clue to this truth is in the $40 price of Metroid Prime Remastered.
Nintendo simply doesn't DO $40 remasters for bigger games as evidenced in Luigi's Mansion 2's $60 price.
Metroid Prime Trilogy came out at the standard $50 price (USA) on Wii at a Retro Studios worker's behest.
Nintendo dragged their feet into giving us that deal so now they're making up for it by releasing each game at $40 to make the Trilogy worth $120 all put together. More than DOUBLING what would be the standard $60 Switch game price.
Each remaster needs room to breathe so one will come out each year to build hype for Metroid Prime 4.
And Metroid Prime 4 will MORE than live up to the hype so this is actually a genius ploy.
Switch 1 STILL has life even though so many people want them to move on to the successor.
Nintendo Switch is about making history in 2024 & 2025. They have records to break this year & next year.
Nintendo Switch aims to be THE BEST SELLING CONSOLE OF ALL TIME over Nintendo DS & Sony PlayStation 2.
Until that happens, you will not see an inkling of Nintendo Switch 2.
Uh... If Switch 2 is releasing in 2025 Q1 then it would have to be revealed sometime in 2024 💀

Nintendo has not announced ANYTHING yet. So there is no delay since there is no announcement.
Remember when March 2024 was supposed to be the reveal? How did that turn out?
Don't expect Switch 2 any earlier than Holiday 2025. I'm dead serious.
Nintendo has no need to rush this console in the midst of an industry crash.
The entire industry is about to belong to Nintendo-GTA VI not withstanding.
They need to take their time with this transition not speed it up.
When Nintendo FINALLY enters the 9th Generation with Switch 2, it's time's up for the competition.
They can no longer run to new generations every 5 minutes when Nintendo's console surpasses them.
Nintendo has had them on the run ever since the 7th Generation with DS & Wii.
The PS4 & XBox One only came out BECAUSE of the Wii U (even if it ultimately failed).
Remember the PS Vita function that had the PS4 function like a Wii U Gamepad? Remember Kinect?
The PS5 & XBox Series only exist BECAUSE of the Switch (which is more than succeeding).
Switch came out later than PS4 & XBox One but passed them so much faster.
So Sony & Microsoft ran unprepared to a new generation to not be embarrassed by this low-end 8th Generation console breaking records left & right.
That's why we see all of this extended cross-gen going on in PS5's & XBox Series' lives.
That's why there have been barely any true 9th Gen games on these consoles.
COVID was something no one could prepare for but that's no longer an excuse today in 2024.
Sony's selling PS5s but the profit margins are narrowing & the console has already peaked so early.
They're trying to relaunch the console with this unneeded PS5 Pro & placing all hopes on GTA VI.
Microsoft is going 3rd Party after all of their drama with acquisitions & such.
You may very well be looking at the last XBox in XBox Series.
3rd Parties are laying off staff left & right with Sony & Microsoft not doing much better as 1st Parties.
So what's the rush for Nintendo to put out Switch 2 really? There IS none.
Nintendo has it right where they want it. THEY control the flow of the generation just like the old days.
The PlayStation disruption of the mid-1990s shook this loose for a little while but Nintendo regained it with the Gaming Revolution of DS & Wii in the mid-2000s.
The competition once again reacts to Nintendo not the other way around.
Once everybody sees what Metroid Prime 4 is, people will be a lot less worried about Nintendo having to answer to whatever Sony & Microsoft are doing.
I expect lots of "They did this on the SWITCH?!?" type of comments once this game is seen.
The 8th Generation that Nintendo began in 2011/2012 to end the Console Wars is still going on.
The 9th Generation will ultimately be Nintendo's Victory Lap.
By the time we get to the 10th Generation, the competition field will look drastically different.
It may no longer be called the Console Market anymore. It may very well be called the Nintendo Market.
