Because he bragged to his friends that the judge was gonna do anything. Boy how wrong he was. And it took him a while to process it too. Whenever people talk about “ugh, they only got probation” I don’t think they understand what probation is. It’s not a holiday, it’s not a get out of jail free card, it’s like being grounded as an adult. You can’t go anywhere you like, you can’t be around certain people, you have a curfew, you can’t drink, maybe you can’t drive, you have community service or program hours to complete, and you better report or be available for visits. That’s not just “getting out of jail” and defendants who peacock around like they beat the system will have a rude awakening. “Oh so like, that’s it? If I violate probation I just go to jail instead?” Yep. It’s that easy.

So many of the defendants want a medal for taking care of the children THEY brought into this world. They want to escape consequences because they have young children. Where were these children when they are robbing and assaulting innocent victims. Judge Boyd does not give extra credit for a parent doing what a parent should do.

So in his sort of defense, my mom lives at 1604 and Bandera and I don't even remember the last time I've seen a VIA bus over there. Busses don't run out here. BUT he still should have found a way to follow his conditions of probation. He got himself in this, he is responsible for getting himself through it.

@@katherineduke3232The ratio is much higher with younger generations. When an old person behaves this way It's noticeable. When a younger generation person behaves this way its now the normal thing.
This is called the decay of society.
