I noticed that ever since Yami’s character growth in YGOTAS season 4, he actually refers to Yugi as “partner” now. He did so in the last episode and here too. We love to see actual character development in this house.
LK knows what he’s doing and making me actually care and love the characters even more than I did from watching the show…!
@@k-dawgHI it's pretty neat if you watch the series in a row now you can see how much genuine work he puts into it and how it improves, from the quality of the jokes to the voice acting to the audio everything has gotten better as he got more skilled
Similarly you can see how post Battle City Kaiba has been far kinder to Mokuba (and ever so slightly nicer to the rest of the cast). Especially in the newest episode. I adore seeing how Kaiba has grown as a brother but LK manages to keep plenty of jokes going.

I feel like the show is really getting back to its roots this season, and I am all for it. Like most long-running abridged series, it moved somewhat past its original meta humor and became more akin to a comedic interpretation of the original show. This episode is reveling in the meta absurdity, and after getting deep and serious at times in season 4 it feels nice to take a step back to catch our breaths with something familiar before we get into season 5 proper.
"Child who really likes dragons but really sucks at cardgames" is my new favorite character.

A lot of people who are newer don’t really know, but LK has had health problems preventing him continuing the series in a quick manner. This isn’t a TFS situation where he abandons everything because he doesn’t like the series anymore, but rather a real life health concern. Just gotta give it time, and hit the notification Bell
TFS stopped because they were feeling burn out. It's different from all the other abandoned abridged series on CZcams.
Good to know that there's plans for the series to continue. I'd have liked to ask on the discord or on stream, but the rules on either of those say not to ask... Which would be okay if I could get that information somewhere, anywhere at all! That'd be great. Anyway, thanks for telling. :)
@@luiscortazar6291 You gotta see how Kaiser talks on reddit. Granted he didn't create the original DBZ abriged Neighborhood Cluck, but he had a very big part in what TFS became. They didn't like the Buu arc, and it's clear by his tone that he isn't ever going to return to DBZA.
I think he mentioned that before.
@@luiscortazar6291 Yeah, I don't believe it. They don't like the Boo Saga and have made that clear multiple times. They also ended DBCember because they rather like to do other things, which is okay, but I feel they wanted to make it easy for themselves by shifting the focus to burn out.
I am not saying they weren't burnt out, but I don't think it is the main reason they stopped. I know multiple people that suffered a burn out and they just stopped working altogether and wanted to be left in peace for weeks. TFS still entertains other ventures besides the abridged series which wouldn't be the case if they had a severe lack of motivation and energy and suffered from exhaustion.

Serriously...so many years passed and the writing, voice acting, and most importantly, the jokes are still all a cut above most other abridged series there's just no cringe moment (at least for me). I can binge rewatch the whole series and not get bored.

Individual episode length may seem less "abridged" as of recently, but when you divide 26 minutes by the number of episodes covered by this parody episode, the result still qualifies as abridged.
