Well done. I am linking all my students to your channel. You are so good at explaining things.
Simple or not everything you create turns out awesome, gives me nostalgia, I always felt I grew up in the wrong era.
I love everything you the clothing , foods , furniture Love back in the days stuff seem more classy love it all 👍🏾🤎✌️🏾🙏🏾🤎🤎
I wondered why they were called "cigarette pants" and looked it up. It's that pocket on the leg: for a pack of cigarettes (or those coin purse looking cigarette pack holders: my grandma had a sky blue pleather one). We could call them "phone pants" to modernize them. 😁 That outfit turned out really nice. I introduced your channel to my 80 year old Mom, who was a fashion fanatic in the 60's and she loves your creations. I actually wore her satin mint green shear sleeve miniskirt wedding dress at my wedding (she got married in 1963).
"Vape pants" 😂
Wow, what a gorgeous result 😍. The whole outfit could be straight out of that vintage catalogue, but it also manages to look modern and effortless. Very inspirational!
A few years ago, I inherited a vintage singer sewing machine that was given to my grandma in the late 50s or early 60s. I’d always been interested in vintage fashion, but it inspired me to learn how to sew. All of the women in my family learned how and some were professional seamstresses at some point in their lives. Your channel was such a great find- your work is beautifully done, I appreciate how you describe your process, and I adore the designs you choose. Hoping to make my own cigarette pants in the near future. Thank you ❤️
I love the combination of colors, the pants and the blouse are solid but complementary to each other and the blue jacket is so cut. The cut of the pants make a ver flattering silhouette. It looks modern but classy ❤
isn't it odd how the older vintage things look perfectly in place, but the 60's 70's and 80's just look downright weird?
@@sallyjopatriot yeah, i think those cuts were designed to flatter various types of body and make it elegants regardless your shape… very well design
@@grissarceo yes, the difference between style and fashion.. then again.. with no bioengineered food no additives, there were fewer overweight people.
You have the perfect figure for your vintage clothing wardrobe
I'm officially addicted to your channel. You have such class and style and I love how much you love what you do.
AWW GONE GURL! I CAN'T STAND YOU! YOU LOOK ADORABLE! I LOVE IT!!!
I'm new here and had to say that you are using the exact same sewing machine my mother had when I was a kid. It hit me in the feels for sure.
OhMyyyyy.....your outfit is just too cute/beautiful ❤️ I was just mesmerized watching you sew so efficiently and explaining everything.... you're such a talented creator!
Really good tip about stay stitching the waist band. Wonderful outfit!
Love the pants, and the set but especially love the pants.
This looks so cozy. I like the choice in colors, I always go with dark pants. However, picking the tan/khaki to matchup your jacket gave it a totally different look, I really like it. I have to change my way of thinking when it comes to color and outfits....thanks for your video.
IT LOOKS SOO GOOD‼️😻
So cute! Ty for the tip on stay stitching the waist before the waistband is on. I probably knew this in a past sewing life but good to hear it twice 🩷
No problem! It’s easily one of those simple steps we forget, then notice when the waistline does not match up with the waistband.
SewRena you look gorgeous in that colour way! ❤
Oooh I actually have that jacket pattern and most of the pants patterns you showed. They turned out great! I might have to give the jacket a go once I finish my current 1940s coat. It’s kicking my butt haha!
Hahhaa you are after my heart! one big project kicking your butt so you plan another right after 😂😂. Thank you so much
Wow, I really love that jacket fabric. That outfit looks so good. I love the jacket, especially the pockets❤ and the fit on those pants was devine. Well done!!🥰
So cute and warm.
That's wonderful!!!
Thank you for another lovely tutorial. I always enjoy your outfits! Never made a pair of pants myself… they always seem so challenging, but I might need to pick up a pattern and give them a try now 😊
❤ it turned out fantastic
I love all your outfits that you make and wear thanks for sharing, can’t wait for thanksgiving and Christmas outfits💜😊🫶🏿 8:52
Beautiful as usual, hugs from your friend Kim in Quincy Massachusetts!😊
Beautiful set as always. Seems like it’s something you wouldn’t wear passed fall though. But if your climate tolerates it, into the late fall. Classy as always!
Love that outfit! Great job!
This look turned out amazing 😻
Love that jacket
Super cute outfit.
These are so great! And I wish I could plan my content like you do.
Super cute! You're the perfect model!
Thank you
Beautifully 😍
Such a cute outfit!
This is stunning. 🤩
I love the look of this set! I bet the flannel-lined pants are cozy, too!
Adorable outfit ❤❤❤
So, elegant and classic. Beautiful job, lady! ❤
Love these slacks! It’s so versatile for the fall season 🤩✨💗 I love the Christmas prep I can only imagine the magic you have in store! 🎄💗🥰
Liked, shared and commented. Up the algorithm!!
I love this set! Vogue has a vintage redo of those 1960's pants V9189. So it was fun to see a similar pant made up.
Beautiful!
Have the same issue with wool. Your choice of fabric kept the look.
This so cute!!
Love your channel
Too cute!
That goes together so well! For me, I would have stayed with the red in the catalog, or just gone darker overall with the outfit…only for the fact that an outfit that light in color would immediately get stained if I was wearing it! I inherited my father’s klutziness around light colored clothing! 🤣
It's a lovely pair of trousers and a staple piece. I love the interlining idea for winter. Do you sew the two fabrics as one?
So cute! My 2024 goal is to eventually be able to sew my own trousers as currently none of my trousers fit me to a T
You make slacks look nice, I have the pouch belly ( between the hip area ) which makes slacks look horrible on me. Always have access fabric on either side of the "pouch", by each leg. 😢
Those slacks look so nice on you. Do you know any updated pattern a novice like myself could try?
So cute
I keep thinking about the modified boat neck shirt in your Halloween video, do you have a video of it?
years ago the nape of my neck was itching all of the time and my hair started to fall out in that area. It took an older co-worker to tell me that it was the wool coat that I was wearing. She said that I should wear a satin scarf to protect the nape of my neck when wearing a wool coat. I never bought wool again after that. 😂
Oh no! I’m glad you figured it out. I’m not that sensitive but it does make my arm and legs itch
Holiday sewing.... lol, I have 2 skirts and 2 dresses to finish! Half machine half hand sewing. 😮😢
Love! Your content is great and helped per usual! Is a stay stitch just a straight stitch across?
Yes! Stay within the seam allowance so once your garment is put together you don’t have to take it out if you don’t feel like it 💕💕
Question: Why don't you tie off your darts rather than back stitching? I have always been trained to tie them off.
Serena! Love your videos! Can you please tell me where the white shirt you are wearing in the beginning is from? Did you make it?
Yes I made it using Gertie’s Barbie top pattern it’s on her patreon
Awesome! can you tell me what kind of flannel you used to line your garment?
Just the standard flannel you get from any craft/ fabric store. I think Joann’s calls it snuggle flannel
You look so cute!!!!
❤
Cute
They turned out beautifully! 🧡
PS
Sometimes CZcams won't let me like or comment on the shorts 😕 this happened in the prosciutto one. Did you want me to leave an answer for that one somewhere here instead?
Thank you so much! That’s so odd, but yes share with me here 💕❤️❤️ thank you again
@@SewRena you are welcome
I love prosciutto and fruit😁 it's also good with figs. I wonder how it does with other fruit. Probably not so great with apple or banana. Maybe grapes or mango? Oh, or plums. I get a variety of plums that are both tart and sweet, like sour patch kids candy, but, plums.
Darling Outfit. Do you have any French Waistband pant or skirt pattern?
💜💜💜💜
Such a nasty name for pants. But they are cute.
