That didn't exist. If it was tied after an OT, you had a tie game. Only in the playoffs did they play multiple OT periods to settle a game... and they still do that today.

@@XimenaSu1609 goalies have nothing to do with forwards or defenseman missing the net in a shoot outs. If a goalie can't stop the puck he gets moved out very fast. The same should be done with the rest of the team.
