“I'm not ready to live without you” are part of the lyrics of a popular Indonesian song that has become a submarine crew’s final farewell before their vessel sank off the coast of Bali. Poignant footage showing the submarine crew singing the song Sampai Jumpa or “Till We Meet Again” on board their vessel before leaving for duty has been widely shared online. Officials confirmed that all 53 crew members of the KRI Nanggala 402 died following the tragedy on April 21, 2021. The video was filmed and released by the Indonesian navy in March, but has gone viral in the wake of the tragedy.

Dying at the bottom of the ocean in a sunken submarine is so scary, because there is nothing you can do to save yourself. The water pressure is all around you.

By the looks of it, at least they all had one last moment of brotherhood. Together. 😭
This was a video weeks before they went under. But agreed, I would imagine their last moments were spent together, crying, consoling one another, perhaps laughing and making a joke of the situation to cope. Angered by their faulty sub.
Ideally... while morbid.. their deaths were instantaneous.

That’s the best way to go. Except... there would be warning signs the sub would be on the brink of imploding. Groaning and creaking of the hull as it weakens. Perhaps the sound of rivets and welds tearing.

They're the dogs of the state. They do this for money, not bravery.
@@MrWiibetrollin Well yeah, you have to get paid so you could pay back your parent's kindness in raising you, and still be able to buy food for your wife and child at home. Does putting money in the mix make their act any less respectable? If not then i see no problem.

Being a submarine veteran myself, May you all rest in eternal peace. You died as heroes, protecting the country you love. Well done, sailors... well done.
Thx u so much for your support and condolences. Best regard and respect from Indonesia
Very kind words.
@@mental3666 I’d say it’s possible they died to respiratory issues. (Gas, or lack of oxygen perhaps.)
@@mental3666 At that, I’d say the submarine imploded after the gas killed them and then hit the ocean floor.
@@itgel6101 dying from running out of oxygen (not like drowning or anything like that) is actually one of the most peaceful ways to die. Basically the nitrogen in the air that you are breathing just makes you happy and then you go to sleep.

My heart…how it aches heavily…I do not have words to articulate to describe how I felt while watching & listening to those men sing their final farewell. My heart, it truly goes out to those sailors & to their families.
Indonesians, friendliest folks ! Rip to the brave soldiers, they went out without a shred of fear.
It really makes eyes wet. A soldier doesn't know if he'll retire or get martyred, such poignant images of soldiers ready to die fills heart with sorrow. Respect from India to Indonesian friends, and strength to the families of the martyred.
Thank you for your kind wishes

Some of the bravest soldiers I have ever seen. This is humanity. Why fight each other when we all know we don't want our loved ones to die. Let us not let politicians trick us into hating each other.
What du mean? They didn't because they fought someone, they die because of failure submarine

I'm sick of this.

@@williampowell2104 Exactly I don't understand why people don't get this. It's like someone breaking out a guitar while the engines on your plane flight are in flames going down and you start singing songs. Nobody does that unless you are the band on the Titanic
