- Yesterday I had to say goodbye to my best friend. Maple passed away peacefully during the night, while I held her in my arms. We have spent every moment together for over 12 years, doing everything together. I adopted her from a rescue shelter and the first time we met she tackled me, leaping into my arms, wagging her tail so hard and with a smiling face full of love. We went on so many adventures together, and she was always there for me with her unconditional love through difficult times. Music helped to soothe and comfort her, especially when she was feeling anxious during thunderstorms and fireworks so I would play for her to help calm her down. She would lay beside me with her head in my lap and listen to the guitar until she fell asleep. I feel so lucky to have had her in my life, the bond we shared is indescribable and my heart is aching.
There are a lot of videos that I filmed with Maple which I never posted on CZcams, or videos I didn't finish editing, that I might release in the future. I hope that some of the moments we shared together over the years have helped to bring some joy or comfort to you. Thank you for the love and support you have shown us.

That’s the worst part about it. It hurts for all of us, and we don’t even know how much it truly hurts Trench. We don’t know his face, his voice, but we know about the bond he and Maple shared. If it hurts us this much, I can’t even imagine his pain.

I lost my Boston terrier last year and I didn't want another dog. But I ended up with my sister in laws Great pyrinnies and she's not the dog I expected or particularly wanted. But I love her as much as my old dog and I can't imagine life without any of my pets. Yes, it's sad when we lose them. But we are blessed with them while we are together. There's another animal out there that needs your love.
I feel you, 16/17 years comes close to feel like a lifetime, because depending on where you are in your life, it pretty much is a chapter in your life. A chapter you have shared with a dear friend. Worth it. May you remember the times with him often.

Found this video a few weeks ago and was heart broken hearing about Maple, even though it was 2 years ago. But had to come back as my family and I are saying goodbye to our sweet, loving, loyal, and protective 11 year old German Shepherd, Lucy, tomorrow. Losing a fur companion, especially dogs and cats, is one of the most devastating things that could ever happen. I'm truly dreading tomorrow 😥

This means a lot right now. My senior beagle has lung cancer and roughly a week left before we will have to let her go. She was a breeding beagle who I’m not sure ever experienced love until the rescue found her at 10. She’s now almost 14 and found out what simple things like a comfy bed and being inside is like ❤️

My family lost our dog a year and two weeks ago today. We had rescued him when I was ten years old and basically had him my entire adult life. My folks had just gotten back from their anniversary vacation the night before and he had been so happy to see them. That was the last time I got to see him as he had to be rushed to the hospital the next day before I woke up.
It hurt. It still hurts. But the fact that it hurts so much makes me happy because it means he knew how much my family loved him. but I just wish I'd gotten to see him one more time...

My dog passed away two years ago at the age of 16 and it hasn't been a single day in which I haven't thought about her. Growing up with her was a wonderful experience and the bond we developed was something special. Dogs deserve heaven.

I felt the same for all of my three cats, never loved anyone or anything as much as those three. One passed in 2000, and it took me ten years until I could get the next two, and I lost both of them (siblings) in the past 18 months. Death is shit, they live such short lives.
