This was day 4 of our road trip from FL to Vancouver, Canada, where we get on a Celebrity Cruise ship and sail the inside passage of Alaska.
Miles of day 4 were 314 miles/ 505 km about 5 hours of drive time.

So we were at the Corn Palace on July 8th of 2023. Looks like you were here a couple of weeks after us! Always a fun and corny stop when you are passing through Mitchell South Dakota. I loved some of the gifts on the basketball floor of the auditorium. 😊👍

Well isn’t this such a unique place that you found! A corn palace? How fun! Cool they all were dating back the 1800s, wow. An this one is the only one left! Love hearing the history about them. The big top circus theme is so cute. The corn murals are so neat! Love the corny gifts lol! Bob Barker awe! 💕love the viral corn meme and love that he’s the corn ambassador! So cute haha!

This is a fascinating idea. I had heard of this place but I didn't know they change the displays out every year. That is cool. There are several things I really want to see in South Dakota (and North Dakote too for that matter). It just seems so far away. I am sure we will make it there one day though. Thanks for showing us The World's Only Corn Palace!
I hope yall do as well. I personally love traveling west, the pace slows down, no traffic I just love it, wide open ranges awe I want to go again :)
We stayed in a motel in Mitchell on our way to the black hills, but we didn’t visit the palace. We were too late the evening before and left too early the next morning. Maybe another time. Thanks for sharing your visit.
