Not sure that's accurate? generally speaking you're better off to leave the tank full to prevent condensation building up inside the tank and it rusting although with this vehicle that's not an issue since it's got a fuel cell.
That's true on every other vehicle I've ever seen. You would certainly want to put stabilizer in the fuel if it's going to sit for any length of time. But leaving the tank low is not going to change the fact that the fuel goes bad.
perhaps you could leave it low and run it almost completely out and then refill it to a low point. I don't know there's probably positives and negatives for each option
As an older guy, I've personally seen 935s being raced and this tribute to that icon is terrific. Many kudos to Porsche for just producing this recreation/tribute.That philosophy and Porsche's long-term racing is why I have owned a 997 GTS and still drive my 2010 PanameraS daily. (I installed exhaust cut-outs so it sounds awesome!). Just love it!

The roof hatch actually isn't meant as an extra "escape" for the driver, per see. Its a way for corner workers/medical personnel to remove you from the vehicle after a crash if they are concerned about a broken spine and do not want to pull you through the roll cage and potentially disrupt your spine more than necessary.
Also, the lights are for both shifting timing and a visualization of how close you are to activating the ABS system.

You are probably right, I was almost 99% sure it was a helmet cutout in case you need extra room sitting in the car wearing a helmet.

This is mostly correct, but turbofans (depsite the misleading name) don't actually blow any air onto the brakes at all, their design is intended to pull the hot air *away* from the brakes, diffusing some of the heat from them
@@xTBx tbh "fans to cool the brakes" is a phrase that accurately describes what you said. As an exhaust fan. That would create negative pressure elsewhere (I presume the brake intake ducts in front) and still drive the airflow.

The vertical led lights on the left and right flash RED when a tire is blocking and blue when a rear wheel is spinning independently. That way you know whether youre blocking the wheels so you can be more gentle on the brakes or raise the ABS activation or whether you need to raise the Traction Control or be more gentle on the gas pedal to avoid damaging the tires.

I don't think it's uncommon practice for car collectors. Gasoline doesn't have a fantastic shelf life, especially high ethanol fuels, and if you leave a bunch of it sitting in a tank fuel separation can occur and you'd be left having to siphon it out. Generally you leave as little fuel as possible in it to mitigate this as much as possible, I've noticed the same thing on a lot of CNC's cars that Doug reviews

I do not have a 935 myself but am familiar with race displays. The lights on the top are the shift lights. The lights on the side are most likely traction control lights. One bank on the left for the left side, and one bank on the right for the right side. They are typically light up in iridescent blue color. They will flicker on briefly when traction control is enabled. Good for judging if you're using the appropriate amount of traction control (often visible on power out from the apex).
Other steering buttons visible but not mentioned DRK = drink, RAD = radio
The big red dial next to the steering wheel with the R and F markings seen when he was talking about the wiper stalk is the brake bias adjustment. Drivers will often adjust brake bias as the race progresses, especially longer races where drivers will need to adjust their brake bias as they burn off fuel (weight) stored in the fuel cell over the front wheels.
I may be wrong but Doug had commented that the analog dial to the right of the center display clearly measured in BAR was for oil pressure, I believe it is the turbo boost gauge though, especially after listening to the whistle at the exhaust during engine deceleration.

Mate, you don't actually get out of the roof hatch, it's used to put a board behind the drivers back to stabilise him. And then he goes out of the normal door.

@@garys9694 I can say that for certain. This is FIA certified roof. You kick it out in extreme emergency scenario. You don't unlatch it or unscrew it (as no one would have a time for that in case fire occurs).
