Just remember Barrie had the most points for d and never got one norris trophy vote. If u watched these games they needed someone from the point that can hit the open shot. He can. It's sad that they had to go out and trade for a 6 million dollar d man so he could actually look good. Ek covers for him so much its truly sad. They will back up the bank for him. I just hope he arounds out his game. I'm not worried about the points when u play with Mcdavid.

Not really - again another fan who doesn't 'watch' the Oilers. They are a good tandem that play well off each other! Paul Coffey is a Hof dman - guess who was his partner for a lot of most productive offensive years? Charlie (stay at home dman) Huddy. You so called hockey fans make this sound bad! Guess you wish you had that pair eh?

He's truly appalling defensively (much like the entirety of the Oilers). Can't pay another Nurse like contract for someone who's a sieve on the backend.

      Bouch/Ekholm > Hughes/Hronek

Here's the problem with Bouchard - he's extremely calm with the puck, and very smooth. When he makes a good to great Dplay - you don't notice it. How 'bout you actually watch the Oilers play instead of the Canucks - i.e. only notice a gaffe by Bouch and give the 'nuck players crap when Bouch makes a good play - know what I mean? Then your tune may change. He's not the greatest Dplayer no argument there - but no way is he appalling - not like Zadarov is (human Pylon lol)

Bouchard is a RESTRICTED free agent after next season - so no worries. If someone makes him an offer sheet that the Oilers can't match - here come the boat load of draft picks. Oilers will be fine.

Bouchard would be a HUGE loss for EDM. The picks wouldn't offset the player.

I believe the Oilers are willing to go as high as 40mm to get those 3 players locked up with a 100mm cap. Also would not be surprised if Mcdavid set the tone signing first.

@@andrew4451 mcdavid can’t re-sign until next summer July 1st. At that time Drai would be a UFA so your 100% wrong

After that trade, the Oilers in the next season will be different. Will they make it to the playoffs again? Only time will tell.

Um, if you're a Canuck fan - your team got WORSE - and you gotta pray that Demko can have a health year and J.T. Miller repeats his career year (he won't) . Canucks miss playoffs next season, Oilers do the Panthers trick and win the Cup after coming oh so close this season. Will they make the playoffs - L M A O - you're not too bright of a hockey fan are you?
