- Dixie Echoes - Live. Singing Trouble in My Way featuring Dale Shelnut on this spiritual. Other members: Ken Turner, Joe Whitfield, Larry Ford, Sue Whitfield and Randy Shelnut.
Not to draw attention away from Dale Shelnut, the Swing Lead Singer, but that was a really nice F1 that Ken Turner hit in the end.
Dale Shelnut was one of the very best lead singers in Gospel music. I loved hearing him sing!

BlackBart48 Dale Shelnut was indeed funny. He could make you laugh just looking at him. What a voice he had.
Super singers and did a great job....miss every one of those that are gone now!

Back in the early 1970's "Brother Dale" would wind up the audiences of W.B. Nowlin's Battle of the Songs tour with "Trouble in My Way", and combined it with "In the Prayer Room.' If no one has a video of that song, I'll post an audio/video, it's worth the wait!!!!

I loved that song as well. I thought my mother had some of the old Dixie Echoes cassette tapes when she died, but never found them in her things. If anyone finds or has this song it would be very appreciated if you could up load it.
