Sadly, I just read that Roger Horne went on to be with the Lord last year. There are more videos of him during his short tenure with the Cathedrals from Jubilee on CZcams. By the way, this song was studio recorded with Roger Horne on the Cathedrals album "Right On". The trio that was behind the writing of this song (namely Gordon Jensen, Larry Orrell and Wayne Hilton...the Orrells) are all still living and in ministry.

I was in a gospel trio (Pure Praise) in the mid 80's. We played a series of dates with London Paris at a huge fair in Spencer, Iowa. It was quite an experience. He could hammer those low notes!

The Imperials "Jesus made my Higher" album version had him as vocalist. That's how i found this. I looked him up and he was only with them a very short while. So good! Try that song!

A machinist by trade, my father was a talented pianist and vocalist. Every day when he came home from work, he would wash up and sit down at his piano. Even as a preschooler, I would stop what I was doing and join him in the living room. I grew up listening to him sing these beautiful songs by the Blackwood Brothers. I had the privilege of seeing them in person in the early 1970’s at the Kingsland Theater in St. Louis. My father also performed that night, with my little sister. She wore a red and white checkered dress that I made for her. Wonderful memories!
