The stang was in the wrong gear dude was dropping down still right before he started counting 😂 everyone says it’s an auto you just mash the pedal but if you ain’t in a cars power band it’s always gonna feel slow and sluggish till it gets to that powerband all and all this is the type of races I like neck and neck
The great thing about the 10 speed automatic is it will shift better than you ever will on the paddle shifters. It may not seem like it, but you will go faster by letting it do its thing.
Ive owned both and both are great cars! The Mustang is ultimately the quicker and faster car with unbelievable top end power but the 392 Hemi has a lot to give as well. You can't go wrong with either whip.
A GT is slightly better at roll “racing” (60-130). Other than that, it’s slower in the 1/4 mile , and is about 25 mph slower top end ( due to the factory limiter). Just saying 😁

I gap scat packs all day in my 5 speed foxbody with a mild built 302. Less hp but alot less weight. They always try to pick on me but, the look on their faces when they get gapped by a car that looks like it is about to fall apart is priceless. I also daily it too.
If you buy a stock scatpack and don’t fuck with it, it’s one of the most fun cars to drive ever own, got 500hp still insane but not over the line and definitely not to low so just right and they look amazing boy does the back of a charger always catch my eye driving down the interstate
Honestly the ten speed was developed for the Camaro zL1 for better top end then boom through it in the stang which was its biggest upgrade to date!! Great job ten speed that forth gear bog in those 8 speeds suck but the ten speed has a sweet spot at all times.
No you are incorrect Ford and GM were a joint venture in development on the 10R80 transmission but they have their own individual tuning software programing.

@@Aph4life my eyesight is fine. The scat was ahead a few feet until he let out. If they kept going a few more seconds, the GT probably would have pulled ahead by a couple feet, but the race was to 140, and the Scat was ahead. Also , I’m not a “Mopar Guy”. I’m a car guy.

I'm a chevy auto technician I work on vechicles for a living the stock vs stock 10 speed stang vs 392 scat 10 speed all day especially on a roll race by the way fuck chevys I only work on them cause that's where the money at they break down alot especially the new c8 corvettes be smart ford is the way to go
Some scats come from the factory making 450-460whp. This happens every now and then but more than likely the scat was at least tuned. Stock for stock out of 10 different scats vs 10 different stangs, stang will win 9/10 times. I’ve seen stock 10 speeds beat FBO tuned scats.
GT is stock with a muffler and used paddle shifters which isn't how you run the 10spd. Scat has an exhaust and intake. So it's not stock for stock technically.
