    Doc, can I apply Cerave vitamin C serum and The Ordinary Niacinamide together? I have a oily and sensitive skin.

    • @Doctorly
      @Doctorly  Před 4 lety

      You can apply both of these together. However, there were some older studies that showed niacinamide and vitamin C can have issues together. But more recent evidence suggests that they are ok to use together. But of course, try it out, and see how your skin responds - everyone's skin is a little different. TLDR: They're safe to use together!

    Hi doc. I hope you will read this message. I have a huge problem on my face and it affects my confidence. I have an acne on cheeks and forehead, it becomes itchy every hour whether it's oily and dry. I have a sensitive skin. Can I ask what's your recommendation? What products should I use to get rid of this acne. I am not confident because of this and I hope you can help me, please?

    Hiii Dr.Shah do you have any good eye cream recommendations for dark circles? And also for dark acne scars?

    • @Doctorly
      @Doctorly  Před 4 lety +3

      Dark acne scars fade with time - first, start always wearing sunscreen because it will help them fade with time. Then you can add an ingredient that targets hyperpigmentation, such as retinoids, hydroquinone (only use for 2 months maximum), alpha arbutin, niacinamide, tranexamic acid, or vitamin C. A good routine would be retinoid and niacinamide at night and vitamin C in the AM with sunscreen! For dark circles, I've done videos on TikTok but there's nothing that is going to be a miracle yet!

    Hey doctor shah! What’s a good product for people with tan/ brown skin who get acne scars very easily and takes forever to go away? I dont get acne anywhere just on my forehead which is sometimes dry and oily. I’ve tried niacinamide from the ordinary but it didn’t do much I also use the SA wash by cerave but that doesn’t really agree with my skin either, any recommendations are helpful!

      Hi, the strongest ingredient over the counter for acne is adapalene (differin gel)! Try using that, as long as you're not pregnant or breast feeding!

    Hey doc! Im 13 and have dark circles under my eyes. I think theyre genetic, cuz my mom and dad have them. I also heard if u gently pull down the under eye skin snd the pigmentation is still there, the dark circles are genetic. I did this test and the pigment was still there. I also have wrinkles under my eyes. What can i do? I hate them so much because im 13 and my dark circles look worse than so many people ive seen who are like 30-40 years old. What can i do without surgery, botox, fillers,etc. PLEASE HELP, ive been struggling with this problem for my whole life 😭😭

    • @Doctorly
      @Doctorly  Před 4 lety

      Hi! Thanks for reaching out, genetic dark circles are very difficult to treat but a good start is to start using a tinted sunscreen in this area every single day. This will prevent the area from getting darker. For the wrinkles, it's probably not due to aging but more likely due to allergies or dry skin at your age. Try moisturizing this area every single night a cream-based moisturizer instead of lotions!

    • @Doctorly
      @Doctorly  Před 4 lety

      After 6 months, you can start applying sunscreen. Use a physical sunscreen with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. Best thing at that age is to prevent sun damage!!
