#alterbridge #blackbird #royalalberthall #live #reaction #musicreactions - Hudba
It's their own song, the lyrics by Myles were inspired by a very close friend of his who passed away tragically. It's also known to have one of the best guitar solos every written, played by both Myles and Mark together. It's an astonishingly great song.
The Beatles Blackbird riff at the beginning is just something they've always done live to open this song
The beginning is a tribute to The Beatles. The rest is their Anthem. 😊
Words darker than their wings from same show is a must!
I was lucky enough be there on the 1st night, and it is simply the best gig I have ever attended.
That's the first AB done song she reacted to! About 6 months ago
Your reaction to Myles and Mark interacting on stage is my reaction as well 😊 I get a lot of joy seeing that stuff.
Love your reaction videos of Alter Bridge! Keep them coming please!!
Myles Kennedy - "Love Can Only Heal"
I've never seen a live guitar solo as identical to the studio version as this one
This was absolutely crazy
This whole live concert is amazing. If you havent heard "Words Darker Than Their Wings" from this concert, do yourself a favor and do it soon.
She has reacted to it
Their performance of "The End is Here" from this very same concert is truly incredible and one of my favourite performances from Alter Bridge. Would love to see you react to it!
The opening notes he plays is the Beatles song but Alter bridge has their own song
This song always reminds me of my daughter who passed 2 days after she was born.
"Ascend, may you find no resistance
Know that you made such a difference
And all you leave behind will live to the end
The cycle of suffering goes on
But the memories of you stay strong
Someday I too will fly and find you again"
AlterBridge is simply sublime! Myles vocals and guitar playing are top notch! Marks guitars and backing vocals are great too. Both of them together…Priceless!
Myles Kennedy is absolutely one of the greatest vocalists ever. This song is an absolute masterpiece. It has it all. Emotional lyrics, elite vocals and extraordinary guitar. Oh and the bass and drums aren’t bad either. Phenomenal.
Myles said in an interview that he was approached about doing a musical but he turned it down. He said he thought he should stay in his own lane. He has acted before. Check out the clip from the movie Rickstar. It's all over CZcams.
Love love love that song! A massively underrated band. So freakin good.
I've been listening to this song everyday more than once for a week or two. And I saw them live last summer. They are sooooooooo good, and this song is God tier.
A very emotional song about the passing of a friend. It has helped me a lot when I lost a dear friend myself. IMO the best song ever written.
This song is a musical masterpiece. Top ten rock song of all time.
I've never heard this song before. Soooooo good.
Chills. Literal chills.
This is not a cover of The Beatles classic 'Blackbird'... Alter Bridge their own song 'Blackbird' (which also happens to be their 2nd album's title)
The same way both Radiohead and Stone Temple Pilots have a song called 'Creep'... that r not the same song...
'One' is also the title of different songs by Metallica... U2 ... Creed ... etc.
Myles Kennedy has such good vocals! Love this band and cannot wait for a chance to see them live!
Blackbird isn't just a song.....
It's an experience
When sung properly, yes. Nowadays it's usually a "try not to cringe at Myles" nasal singing' challenge. A different kind of experience, I guess.
@@dudebroguymateBit sad that you’ve gotta say that about someone as kind hearted as Myles, do better ❤
@@sinisterwolf1985 What are you talking about? I love Myles, but he’s the one who needs to do better. This vocal performance was not it. You don’t even have to look at other concerts or anything, just compare his singing to Words darker than their wings or any other song from RAH and you’ll realize that this was not good. He sang way too nasally.
@@dudebroguymate you also have to remember that hes pushing 55 next year so of course he’s not going to sing the same in every song, there are gonna be some where he’s gonna have to change it around, but I’d like to know what your experience with vocals is
Yeah this song has nothing to do with the other Blackbird song at all, lol it's not even birthed around it it's a completely original one.😊
Wow, I recommended this in discord like a year ago! I'm happy to see it finally made it!!!
Song has a whole other meaning when you realise why he made it and then relate to it even deeper - i dont like live performances but id 100% listen to him live like god damn....the vocals... are insane. ive yet to find a song from AB that i dont like - water is rising is also a nice live song to react to js ^.^ he hits some notes.... gives me goose bumps every time.
LOVEEEE THIS SONG THIS VERSION and your channel I love Myles and co they are amazing
seen them live a bunch of times and every time they do blackbird its epic . missed them at the albert hall as i was in portugal at the time im still gutted to this day as this concert was amazing
Soooooooo goooood 🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥 In memory of Myles's long time friend, Mark Morse, who passed away while writing the song 😢😢 Mark sold Myles his very first guitar when Myles was just a kid.
Still think the Amsterdam version is the greatest 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I do still recommend listening to Alterbridge-Blackbird/live in Amsterdam. This preformance is amazing but Amsterdam without the orchastra is Top Tier. This song does not need an orchestra.
You should also give tremonti a chance. The lead guitarist Mark Tremonti has his own speed/thrash metal band called tremonti where he is the lead vocalist and guitarist. He has an amazing voice.
Ive seen them live twice a few years apart and I can confirm that Blackbird is absolutely mesmerizing every time I hear it
That moment where you're loving Myles' solo and I'm sat here saying but wait for Tremonti's
crazy singing
Myles wrote Blackbird about the guy who sold him his first guitar, he unfortunately passed away. It has nothing to do with the Beatles song.
Alter Bridge is the best band of the last 20 years
People seem to sometimes forget what a good guitarist Myles is, and thats on top of his "Ridonculous" vocals lol. This is one of their best songs IMHO and this performance and the one from Wembley are both ridiculously good. Have you checked out any of their heavier stuff like "Addicted to Pain" yet? Their performance of that song from the same Royal Albert Hall concert is great if you have a chance to check it out. Also for something completely different, Mark Tremonti has an album he did for charity of Frank Sinatra songs that is really good and gives you a whole new respect for his vocal talents. Thanx for reacting to this awesome live performance, keep it up lol!
RAH and Wembley are two of the worst performances of Blackbird in the band's history. If you want the good stuff, check out Amsterdam where Myles sang this song properly.
Ok Lady Ray (A drop of golden sun) ! BLACKBIRD caught my eye but pleasantly surprised!! Heard of the Band , never heard a tune until now! Great vocals!! Great GREAT guitar 🎸 work and everyone else for that matter!! THANKS ‼️ Great choice of guitar tone, not overly overdrived!! GREAT RAYACTION! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
I don’t know ur age or favorite era of rock music (if u like rock at all?). But Im in my late 50’s and previously thought great melodic hard rock died by the mid / late 90’s. I discovered AlterBridge only about 7 or so years ago by accident. I heard Myles Kennedy’s vocals with Slash’s project and decided to look up where that awesome singer came from! Found Alterbridge and haven’t looked back since! By far my favourite band now - and they simply don’t make bad music! Combination of classic rock vibes with modern metal flourishes. Enjoy the rabbit hole as I did if you decide to explore more of this great band! 👍🎸😎
@@RB-oc7ti THANKS!! Born 1962. Like a lot of music from the JACKSON 5 to JINJER!! 🕊️☮️
@@allengray5748nice! Jinger Ive discovered too! Pretty awesome! Ya - we gotta look for great heavy music now - but its out there! (Just not known or promoted by mainstream media)
Multiple bands can write songs with identical titles, deal with it. ;) Not all songs titled Blackbird have anything to do with The Beatles...
What a song
ughhhh woman you're so stunning. love alter bridge and mark tremonti GODS
Ok, okay, let's go:
Firstly, this was extremely magnificent, the music and the sound were extremely good, Miles has a very powerful voice, the first time I saw this was when he was singing Anastasia with Slash, including a good song you should listen to Rachael, I even looked to see if the lyrics were similar to the Beatles song but it's very different and seeing Miles singing The Phantom of Opera would be a good thing to see I agree with you Rachael and besides That's it, continue with the work you're doing and greetings from Brazil to you! 💚💛💚💛
Check out Waters Rising for Mark's vocals
Hi Ray. I wanted to indicate a band that I love and that practically no one mentions: Snow Patrol. They have beautiful lyrics, captivating melodies and a passionate sound. "Chasing Cars", one of their smash hits, would be a great start. I am absolutely sure that you will love it.
My wife and I LOVE that song!! So good!! It came out when we first started dating. We're married now.
@@Darth_Lunas it's the favorite song of my life. It's the wedding song with my ex-wife, who passed away from cancer months later. We were engaged when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She asked me to leave her, that I not get attached to her, that I go live. I told her that my life was her, that I loved her and that I would be with her forever. It's a very memorable song in my life.
@@t.b.m.b. I'm so sorry for your loss. It brought a tear to my eye.
Mark also recorded a Frank Sinatra cover album for charity. Not only is he a phenomenal guitar player but he can sing amazing too. They recorded it with surviving members of Franks original band. Worth a listen.
Saw him perform it this winter Mark was absolutely amazing
The musical theater tune i want to hear Myles do is Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar. Myles has a G5. He can do it
Their song "Breathe" off their B-Sides and Rarities release gives off major Chris Cornell vibes for me. I also think a Myles cover of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" would be phenomenal.
100/100 song
0/100 vocal performance
@@dudebroguymatewhatever.
@@RB-oc7ti Yes, this vocal performance is kind of whatever
@@dudebroguymatethink what you want. I will too.
❤
Highly recommend you check out some of Myles' earlier music in the band he was with before Alter Bridge, the Mayfield Four, to hear what his voice was like when he was younger. I'd suggest Summergirl if I had to pick one song. If you're curious about his vocal range, he's been heard either live or on recordings to go from Bb1 all the way up to D6. Not sure what the highest he can still hit with a lot of power and control is, but it's at least F#5.
SUMMERGIRL AND 12/31 by Mayfield Four
@@johnnyadamany 12/31's another great choice. Honestly, there are a ton of very good picks between both of their albums.
Sebastian Bach from skid row was in phantom of the opera
Mark is one of the best guitarist all time
Hi Rayaction!
A few months ago you reviewed "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers. To truly appreciate the duo have you listened to their song "You've Lost That Loving Feeling"?
One other vocalist I would suggest is Chris Isaak performing "Wicked Game". This will blow your socks off.
Isaak was influence by Elvis Pressly, Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash. He has also performed with Cash and Orbison.
They just play that intro in concert, doesnt exist on cd, its just a reference to the other song
The opening is a tribute to the original, but the song itself is their own.
Check out Take You With Me by Tremonti. Amazing song and it's Mark on both lead guitar and vocals.
This is the one for me
I love both Chris Cornell and Myles Kennedy. I think Myles was more influenced by Jeff Buckley.
u should listen to "game over" by a7x or "we love you"! i never really like them until i seen them play it live now i'm obsessed
Same title different song
Can you react MB14 La cup worldwide showcase 2018 please..
I'm sure you gonna like his voice.
Thank you !!
Reaction on Bloodywood pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Dimash Qudaibergen - "When I've got you" ?!!?
I love Kevin Bacon
I don't care about the song. because your beauty makes me forget that you are a human, not an angel "kiw kiw cukurukuk" 😂😂
Please React to this.
Plan Three - When Everything Comes An End
Thank You.🙏
She cannot even say "The Beatles" for fear of being tagged for copyright infringement
Daaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy 8 of asking for saint asonia
hey lovely, could you check out a band called 'the struts'... think you might like 'em😉
It's such a shame you didn't watch the 'Live in Amsterdam' version, Myles changed his vocal technique between it and this performance, and Amsterdam was significantly better.
Next you need to warmness on the soul by avenged sevenfold
Part II & 1/2 😧 I meant ESSENTIAL!!
I believe he bought Jeff Buckley's guitar.
No he wasn't able to buy it. He tried but the guy wouldn't sell it. He did let Myles play it for that show in Paris.
@@timtam79 That sucks. :)
Shame you didn’t do your research before listening to this. It’s their own song and not a cover.
Not the Beatles
It's a shame that Myles chose to sing like that. It ruins the performance in my opinion. I mean, compared to Amsterdam, this performance is a joke at best. It's similar to Wembley where Myles was sick and that's saying a lot about this RAH performance.
I understand the need to preserve his voice or whatever, but if I were there having paid what undoubtedly was a pretty penny to see them, I'd be very disappointed with this performance of Blackbird. It's weird because he sang other songs normally that night but chose to go nasal for their most known song.
Alter Bridge were never a great live band, but nowadays they're much worse than in their younger days because of Myles' singing. So many performances ruined. Although they're my favorite band, I don't regret not seeing them live one bit. In my opinion, they should let Mark sing and Myles should play lead guitar. It would be a nice change of pace that both of them would probably enjoy and also a real treat for the fans.
"Alter Bridge was never a great live band" - said no one ever. To each their own but you're definitely on your own there...
@@Corrow20 I mean, look at this Blackbird performance and Wembley vs Amsterdam. Not even fucking close. They’re at least very inconsistent live and that makes them less than great. Can you argue with this?
@@dudebroguymateI argue it. He sounds great! The band sounds fantastic too! Myles sings better now than in the beginning of AB. Check out a CZcams video chronicling’find the real’ live over the years. His voice has only gotten better and more consistent live. He has lost that youthful exuberance, but he’s much older and never felt completely comfortable putting on that act in the first place, much less as a man in his 50’s. Sounds great as ever though. Not tons of lead rock singers can say that - even by the time they pass 35 yrs old.
@@RB-oc7ti brother, you need to clean your ears. Compared to Amsterdam, he sounds way way worse.
@@dudebroguymateyour opinion. Not mine.
This song has always sounded like this you must have thought it was a different song
