  • Feeling there are gains that are still there, but also feeling agitated after last few sessions. Contemplating a med reduction as they say this can be a factor.

Hey, thanks for sharing and putting this out there. How are you now? Still doing neurofeedback? Still helping? Let us know!

Please don’t think I’m being judgmental... I’m curious. I will be starting neurofeedback this week and I’ve been told a couple of things about making it successful #1 . You should do this at least 3 times a week ( once it was explained to me I understood why) and 2. You shouldn’t be taking any medications ( I think anti depressants are allowed) / I watched your other (video after 4 visits) and it sounded like the place you went to didn’t explain anything at all to you which is a shame / I also wonder if they told you not to take any drugs - you also mentioned in a past video that you took MDA. Both videos were from a year ago - were you taking drugs while getting neurofeedback? I really am just curious. I don’t think I’ve ever had problems with depression- I’m more the type to have problems with anxiety and PTSD. I really do wish you well!

Penelope Branson I’ve done probably 80 sessions in total. Honestly unsure if it’s helped. Maybe a tiny little bit. It is possible people on meds just don’t do well. I was told that but I thought coming off meds would fix that but I am now reading research on what meds do to your brain and I believe it takes a long time for your brain to go back to normal. Read: Anatomy of an Epidemic by Robert Whitaker to read the details.

Do you have OCD? I ask because you said you had suicidal thoughts, but you won't act on them and that they are terrifying. I'm going through the same thing and I've been looking to try neurofeedback or tms. I don't want to act but don't want to continuously think about them either.
