Precisely! Especially with FALISTRI’s slew limiter, which has independent controls for the rising and falling segments, one can simulate the attack and release controls of a sidechain compression.

Curious about that sidechain comment in needing a slew limiter. Is that to simulate the attack knob on a compressor?
