UPDATE: Hi again. Installed the water inlet gaskets today, and thanks to your video it was so much easier! The top round gasket was well and truly munted and split so no wonder it was leaking.. Thanks again, you are hereby elevated to "Bloody Legend" status! Cheers mate. 👍🏻😎
Thanks bud I need to do the same I am just about to change the second heater hose as they where leaking but I wanted to do the gaskets at the same time. (Yes I do it myself lmao) this looked a hell of alot easier than other video's. Also I found a better way to burp your car, without the bleeder, I jacked the front end up then ran her with the heater going until temp, it got bubbles out better than I thought.
Cheers Bud How many km you get out of these engines mines 230000 and going strong done timing chain and water pump so far thanks again for the easy way to do it your a legend def saved a lot of poeple a lot of cut up hands lol
Hi mate, brilliant video! How many clicks were on your V6 before these gaskets needed replacing? Do they tend to wear out at a certain mileage?I've got a one owner 07 Lumina with just over 147,000 on the clock and I've noticed in the last couple of weeks or so it's starting to lose coolant.. I cant see any other visible leaks in or around the motor and after seeing that it IS possible to replace these gaskets without removing the manifold makes the job a lot less stressful. Thanks for uploading and hope to hear from you soon. Cheers😎
Just did this same job today with the help of this video, gotta love youtube and the guys who film this type of stuff. Thanks mate!

not taking the manifold off, or unplugging any electrical's, made the job easy and quick.

Thanks, glad you found it helpful.
I've had 2 ve commodores that needed gaskets around 200k, but not having to remove manifold makes it easier.
Have a part number or description of oring name?
You forgot to say that you've got a bleed the water system after
I'd remove the drive belt first so you don't get coolant on it. Otherwise it will squeal forever and drive you mad so you'll end up replacing it.
