While the Taycan is all about high-performance electric driving and primarily targets the high-end of the consumer market, it is reassuring that the car achieved the full five stars in safety testing.

The two things I pay attention to in crash tests are the dash and the windshield. This beautiful car passed both with flying colors.

Alexz not its actually not😂😂 considering their nicely warm burning batterys , no , the porsche taycan is more rigid than a model S , rollover crashes shatter the glass roof of the tesla easily , while the taycan uses hard plastic glass compound to prevent shattering and occupant safety by staying longer in place , as you can see it also performs better at the pole test
leo pard 2 yes, but in iihs they said peak force for roof strength was 19,271 pounds for Tesla Model S 2017 models. I don’t think the glass breaks on rollover, because you can search up damaged Tesla’s on copart with rollover damages. But I do agree on how the Porsche is safer

Abraham Galvez ICE have a backup battery consisting of a super capacitor and they run on power from windmills and water power plants
leo pard 2 seems there was some confusion ICE was an abbreviation of Internal Combustion Engine vehicle. (Gas Cars/Non-Electrics) In addition, I in no way meant to begin discussing trains. The purpose for my first question was to inquire about what research you have to support your conclusion that Electric Vehicles are a “big CO2 problem”. Furthermore I will assume your reply discussing a back up battery, and super capacitor was in reference to trains which I do not have knowledge pertaining to the internal working of trains other than they could benefit from regenerative brakes.
In Euro Ncap, I noticed that the roof strength of electric vehicles is very good. The roof of the Porsche Taycan was not affected at all, something great from the pole test was very impressive. Is the battery under the vehicle the reason why the electric vehicles have good roof strength? Does the roof security have anything to do with the battery under the vehicle?
Crash tests are like 30-50 km/h while in real life those cars will be crashing at 100 km/h +

The Thing is the Battery. Cause when its a heavy crash its burning and you only can stop letting it do so by placing the car in a container filled with water. im a fan of ev's but thats the BIGGEST Downside.
