Weekly Vlog

Hello and welcome back to another Weekly Vlog (or a big welcome if you're new here!) A brief summary of what you will find in this week's vlog:
On Monday, I had a call from Motability to discuss car options and I also filmed some videos. We had a power cut on Tuesday morning, which was a bit stressful, as we weren't sure how we would feed Bonnie. I also went to get my second Covid vaccine.
I wasn't feeling brilliant on Wednesday after my Covid jab, so decided to actually listen to my body and rest. Thursday I still felt pretty rubbish, but managed to do some editing and watched Noah do some hoovering with Nanny (one of his favourite things to do!)
I watched some birds in the garden on Friday, which was relaxing. I also open a Boots order and show you what I got. On Saturday morning I had to do a Covid test in preparation for a medical procedure, which I've never actually done before. Sunday was fairly quiet, as I needed to get things done on my computer and had a bad headache. I did find out that my Covid test was negative though, so that was good news.

You should look into Auditory Processing Disorder if you struggle with things such as listening to someone speaking to you in a loud/busy environment or over the phone/with masks on, find your hearing/understanding of sound especially speech gets worse when you're tired, find it takes you a minute to understand something that's been said to you, struggle with remembering aural instructions or information (e.g. what has been said in a hospital appointment).
I love the gaviscon double action, I find it works way better than other kinds. I also buy peptac liquid from the pharmacy, which is just as good as the gaviscon but only about £4-5 for a 500ml bottle. You can get it in peppermint or anise, neither are that bad. I've also had it on prescription for 1litre a time before

i am sorry to hear your second jab was bad for you too. It is so amazing how all of us respond so differently. I have chronic illness and the first dose wore me out. Hubby was fine. And the second shot we switched he (not chronic illness) was the one feeling crappy. But it is good to be in the past. Who knows if we will need a third one. It was nice today to go into a big box store and not feel so overwhelmed with the covid germs. It is a beautiful day here in Washington. I hope youre week is a nice one. Peace to you.

Did you have different vaccines? I’ve heard that 1st Astra Zeneca is typically horrendous & second pfizer doses tend to be bad for side effects! I have my second pfizer jan in a few weeks & im nervous!

I did not realise getting a car from Motabilty was so complicated. I get a powerchair with mine which is a lot easier.
