Cuban culture is so .... alluring.. I lived in Miami FL for around 3 years and I really miss everything about it. Looks like I'm going to have to buy a guitar now and practice playing Cuban guitar music and reminisce
Finally learned this song. This'll be fun to show people. Surprisingly simple. I'm a beginner flamenco artist and love all of the other latin american styles of guitar.
@@sankyships952 Yes - E A D G B E and E-Major is primarily an E7, but you can elaborate on this or any other chord but how far you go depends on whether you want it to sound like basic Cuban Son or Guajira or Cuban Jazz.

I just bought this course on TrueFire for $16 after promo codes. The Tabs provided are very helpful and the video lessons that move along with the tab sheet is perfect! Best learning platform IMO. Worth the $.
@Justin C : People are so backwards sometimes. Currently there are 6 likes for your first snarky, non-constructive and utterly unhelpful comment tinged with an "I'm better than you are" attitude. Yet your second perfectly reasonable and very helpful comment witch has a completely different and *positive intention* has 0 likes. I will endeavor to create a more healthy balance by at least liking your second comment.
This is great! Fantastic! Different feel, that is probably the hard part, you have to have the feel, then rhythm comes after. This is a long way from the Beatles, Stones to tell you the truth...LOL. Great. Is there a book or lessons to take this type of music.
My father RIP 1999 was a great guitar player in Havana. Played with many unknowns. Most notably "El ciego" He taught me at a very young age how to tune a guitar totally by ear, Im older now and dont remember .there were no silly electronic tuning gadgets like an iPhone. I still have his Guitar from Cuba. I am going to have it renovated. BUT can you tell me how to tune a Acoustic 6 strings like he did in the old days. NO I phone or tuning equipment. He never knew those gadgets existed and did a hell of a job without it. Thanks. In the mean time ill dig up some pics of my dad and his guitar. Not easy to find as we were under the Castro administration. I came to USA 5 YO. Again ... can you show me how to tune a Acoustic 6 strings like he did in the old days. NO I phone or tuning equipment. He never knew those gadgets existed and did a hell of a job without it. Just wanted to ad one of our great friends ( Link RIP) that came to my house often in Havana and sung at my birthday parties before we bailed from hard Communism and moved to soft communism USA. czcams.com/video/4uRz-lBfd14/video.html
James Cornelison The Cubans have their own type of guitar called "Tres". It has 3 notes but each note has 2 strings so 6 strings in total. It's structured kinda like the 12 string guitar. But to answer your question this is just an ordinary guitar. Not sure if classical or steel... I think a Cuban designed steel.
Jesus, im a musician from mexico and i would like to sample a couple of seconds of your video for a song that im producing, i would give you all credit if you would allow me to use it, i just wanna make a good song, i dont do it for a living, just for fun, is that ok? if not, i wont upload the song, saludos hermano
I personally get so sick of some of my fellow Americans who think everything should be in English. It's a truly selfish and divisive attitude. Don't be like them yourself. This beautiful music is most often taught in Spanish obviously, since it is Cuban music. That's fine, I see no problem with that. But it's nice for us who speak little or no Spanish to have a lesson in this awesome style of music in a language we understand too. I have no doubt you could find far more lessons on Cuban music in Spanish than we can find in English. So why would you deny us, your fellow Earthlings, a few lessons in a language we understand? When we all learn to support the freedom of other people, only then will we be free. Because no one will ever be truly free until we all are free. I wish you peace and prosperity my fellow Earthling. ^-^

The flamenco palo "guajira" is very nice as well. Check out a version of one of Paco's played by the French guitarist Samuelito. You won't regret it.
My God... it sounds so beautiful...Thanks!

What songs could go very well with?

Worthless without the tabs clearly shown as you play

hablas mas de lo que demuestras como tocar la cansion horrible video
To much talking not enough teaching too bad
bla bla bla hablas demasiado carnal
Talkative! Bad lesson! Wasting your time, and the others' too!
Have to slow down the video
I thought the same, but then realised it wasn't a lesson - it was the performance of what was taught in a lesson. See the blurb under the video.
