Colonial Town PARATY at Night | Rio de Janeiro 🇧🇷

The nightlife in this touristy colonial town Paraty is quite decent so long as it's not raining. You have your choice of a bunch of different types of bars, restaurants and little souvenir shops not to mention a few gourmet ice cream and coffee shops all over the place.

It looks busier nowadays, but it's still in a tranquil mood. They have an international literature festival (FLIP) once in a while, and many famous writers gather there. I once missed my bus coming from Trindade and spent a whole day without any cash waiting for the next one. It was not a very pleasant experience for a teenage gang. But I remember there is an ancient Portuguese fort near the town, which you can visit for free.

I can imagine that sucking especially not having money to at least do something while waiting. I found it to be a tranquil place but not for everyone. I am not sure if I'd go back but if I do it won't be for awhile but also because I have many more places to visit in Brazil.

Great video! Thanks for sharing Nick! Really an interesting town that reminds me of any of the little towns in Europe where people just walk in the evening, people watching, talking, window shopping, like el paseo in Spain or la passeggiata in Italy. It has a nice vibe.👌🏻
