    Which is better for your online business, a membership site, or a Facebook group?
    Are they basically the same thing? If not, how different are they? And should they be free or paid?
    Today I'm going to break down the pros and cons of both a membership site and a Facebook group (including a hybrid of both) and share with you what I think is the BEST route for you to actually make more money in your online business.

    The problem with Kajabi is the price. Too expensive for most people, i especiically if they are just staring their business.

    Facebook does offer Fan Subscriptions to select creators. It includes an exclusive group. FB collects payment and tracks who joins, who cancels. So you can keep track. Paid Subscriptions began in 2018. It's a pretty neat feature. The downside is FB has to invite you.

    Good info Graham, definitely like the idea of using a FB Group on the front end and using that as a means to get people into your paid membership on Kajabi. Or even just promoting a digital product to your group is a great idea too. Thanks again.

    Hey Graham this is the first video of yours that I’m seeing. Absolutely beautiful content. I will be subscribing and following and probably reaching out to you. My biggest take away from this video was to definitely commit to using Kajabi. I have been circling the wagon on that for quite some time and if I should have a free Facebook group or a paid Facebook group or just a CZcams channel and you have given me a ton of clarity. I’m getting ready to launch my coaching program that has been in the works for nearly 4 years now. I look forward to connecting with you soon.

    My issue with Kajabi is I cannot go on live with my community. I wish they would change this. People want live interaction.

    Thanks so much for the valuable information, Graham. I’ve always wondered if it were possible to host a successful membership site outside of FB. Personally, I hadn’t had FB for many years, but I recently joined again because of a couple of groups I wanted to be a part of. I’m so glad to hear another option aside from FB is possible. Btw, I’m a subscriber to your wife’s membership and absolutely love it!

    Excellent video! My concern for the community is manually going to the community vs it just being in a FB feed. Especially for Moms that use FB regularly which is my audience. Your thoughts on this. Would love a video about this. I want to create a kajabi membership but not sure where to host the community?

    Fyi content in a private FB group cannot be shared outside the group, so you could feel secure posting your paid content there.

    Hi Graham, this is a great video. I'm launching a membership site next month (hosted on Kajabi). I was unsure about FB or Kajabi for serving my members... so this video really helped. Would love for you to make a video tutorial on how to set up the community aspect in Kajabi. (i'm fairly new to Kajabi) Thanks :)

    Graham, good stuff. Facebook now has "Units" which is a tab in a fb group where you can create course and or coaching content essentially.

    Hi Graham thank you for another great video - they're really helpful and much appreciated! At the moment I'm working behind the scenes to create my online courses which are due to be launched next year. There will be a membership site linked to one of the courses as part of the fee, but later on I think that I'll need a second membership site as well. I'll be using Kajabi (you've sold it to me over the last few months!) and I'll be using your link, thank you. Quick question - Can I run more than one membership site in Kajabi, and if so can I have one that works as a normal membership site with monthly / yearly payment, and the other that allows people access for 4 months after they buy one of the online courses and then removes them (whilst giving them the ability to then join the other group if they wish.) I'm concerned that if they all go in together those that need more support alongside the course will get lost amongst those there for a whole range of other things? :)

    • @GrahamCochrane
      @GrahamCochrane  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes you can do multiple memberships/communities in Kajabi. And you should be able to set up 4 month access to a community with automations.

    I used FB groups for all of my paid communities. I've had students tell me they no longer use FB but they join FB JUST for my community... Lesson being, if they want to enough... they will.

    I do not have a membership site. However I have wanted 1 for 10 years now. I enjoyed your info immensely. I train dogs for a living & I really really want to get this part of what I do available for the masses. I have more questions, so if you could message me back that would be phenomenal.
