People, if anyone is opting for Taigun or any other car, please do not give extra money for Handling charges. I was asked to pay 11k for unloading the car from truck and cleaning them. I simply dropped an email to VW before paying any amount (even booking amount)
And showrooms will loot you on insurance. You don't have to buy insurance from the dealer. Try opting out or ask the dealer to provide insurance for the same quote you got outside.

Bit costly for the features it has. But German engine will be a main point of consideration. Go for it if you need a well refined and smooth engine. NVH levels are at industry best.

On the expensive side, but German engineering. Driving dynamics, high speed stability, ride & handling top notch. Next creta... But Seltos over hyped, tossing, no stability, body built not so good. Good choice brother.. 👍
Volkswagen is a trusted car manufacturer. But due to Diesel-gate scandal it affected the company reputation and Volkswagen paid huge sum of money as penalty in many countries till now it's facing the lawsuit in USA. Recently i heard a news that Volkswagen is trying to keep the diesel engine development and production alive that's really a good news because we're seeing many companies shifting towards complete electric by ditching IC engines.

What is under the hood is much more important for any car. It is not only the features as we are not looking at mobiles to buy. 16L for 3 cylinder petrol engine is way toooo much. As people didn't have option, as the waiting period is high for other options like Seltos, Xuv 700. It's just my opinion.

It is Turbo Engine and has more than enough horse power
3cyl is not as refined as the 4 cyl. The downside of the turbo charger is, it lags until turbo kicks in
Well said Jaya Kumar. 3 cylinder with turbo is not ideal for both city and highway (not in terms of adrenalin power) but smoothness and reliability. GT and GT plus trims are better.

Totally agree with you, s Cross is a VFM car but it gives a dull feel while driving, if you want driving pleasure Taigun is clearly the winner. S Cross is for people who are not keen drivers and prioritize after sales service and Maruti trust.

Bro this car not value for money in my s-cross 2015 model it has push button start iruku and engine refined in taigun has no push button start 🙄 Scross got 5 star rating taigun got only 4 star rating but Scross budget is 12 lakhs taigun not got sunroof in this budget .S-cross all wheel disc.
S cross Indian variant has not been crash tested yet. Its international variant has got 5 stars. But Maruti ,just like Hyundai uses lower grade steel for their indian version and thus Indian S cross may get a maximum of 3 or 4 stars only. Taigun is also not tested by GNCAP .But according to some reports an internal crash test conducted by VW revealed that Taiguns safety exceeds the GNCAP 5 star rating.
