I absolutely loved the finale and mad props to the voice acting from Steven Yeun and J.K. Simmons in this show, because damn were those scenes between them in the whole first half of this episode emotional as hell. I couldn't help but feel bad for Mark the entire time and then Omni-Man did nothing but rub it in his face by causing mass casulaites and senseless destruction. All of that was brutal asf, but I love how they aren't afraid to show death in this show. Can't wait for Seasons 2 and 3 and please give us more Battle Beast next season bro and freak Amber.

That was one hell of a season. Episode #8 most realistic depiction of superhero collateral damage ever committed to celluloid. It's been renewed for 2 more seasons. Can't wait.
Reminded me of Alan Moore's infamous "Miracleman" Issue 15, when Kid Miracleman destroyed London and killed up to 25,000 people (a mountain made of human heads, human skin strung up like clothes on wash lines, etc.) Widely considered the most violent comic story in history.
Perhaps Kirkman read MM 15 and it was the inspiration for Invisible? Who knows?

This episode really beat me down with all the innocent death and gore ( and that stuff NEVER affects me). That train scene is burned into my brain.
Skybound got major ass balls showing off that kind of shit that most of people who watch so much blood and gore stuff is used to it. Skybound said “here’s something you’ll remember on this superhero show for the rest of your lives” though it did give a little lesson. You can’t save everyone and people gonna have to die on the battlefield.
"I wonder if Liono is a match for Omniman?" Thokk is basically Akuma, he roams the cosmos for worthy opponents and then fucking destroys them! Total badass.

Omni-Man is a loyal soldier whose served his planet for hundreds of years.
But he changed on Earth, cut off from any influences of his past. Mark gaining his powers reminded him of why he was on Earth in the first place, but he still *changed*, which is why when watching the whole fight and back and forth between father and son, it’s more like Omni-Man is trying to convince himself that he’s making the right move rather than try and win Mark over.
Who knew that the most powerful reaction to the train scene would be stunned silence
