  • Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs can explain why male serial killers kill to gratify sexual urges, but female serial killers, kill for money. In the Saloon killer case his .22 Saloon riffle became his modus for sexual gratification, killing men and women indiscriminately. The layman’s term ‘psychopath’ refers to Anti-social personality disorder, which features in some serial killers, but not all of them. I also discuss neuroception, one’s ability to detect safety and danger cues in the environment without conscious awareness. How does one recover from PTSD - who am I now, 30 years later?

I want to thank you for doing this, and I am really glad to hear that you will be continuing to do profiler on record even though the series has ended. I read your book when I was 14 and I wanted to become a criminal profiler, even to this day you are my Idol and I salute you for all of the hard work you have done. I really look forward to more episodes. Will you be doing them on your other book Profiling Serial Killers.

I just discovered your channel with gladness. I have read your books and was sure you had no standoff with Velaphi, as I would have remembered it from your books. I'm glad you are still informing people and that you are enjoying the island.

Really enjoyed the series. Thank you for all you have done throughout your career. This is a really cool supplement to the series. A couple of questions: you mentioned that you utilise "cryptesthesia", but you regularly talk about using scientifc processes when profiling. Do you consider cryptesthesia scientific? Do you have a favourite case; perhaps one you are most proud of?
