Cutting incredible Oregon Thundereggs, polishing our favorite!

I recently grabbed a box of rough Oregon Thundereggs from ‘Dragons Den Minerals’ on Etsy.

I figured why not cut a few on my Highland Park HT10 and see what these cool little agates are all about. None of the ones we cut in this video were remotely the same and we uncovered some awesome features with agate banding, water level bands, mossy features, and vibrant colors visible in most of these neat rocks. At the end of the video we chose our favorite thunderegg to face polish on the flat lapidary machine and another to cut a couple slabs to make future cabochons or display pieces! Stay tuned for a video on those cabs in the future.
