The Philippines is one of my favorite countries in the world!! For all those reasons, and the people!!!! Filipinos are some of the friendliest people you'll meet!! I was lucky enough to live/travel in the Philippines for two months this year and I could've easily stayed for six!! I'll be back soon enough!

What makes The Philippines unique in asia is it's fundamental hispanic-asian identity. Making it the sole country in the world (along with the old Spanish East Indies specifically Palao, Carolinas, Guam, and Marianas) to have such pecular mix of culture.
If you want a confluence of a truly cosmopolitan culture from centuries of Hispanic, Malay, Polynesian, Indian, Chinese, and American influence. Then this country is for you.

@@yudai112Yeah, the Philippines and the United States have strong ties to each other. I remember that I had not one but two Filipino teachers during my senior year in high school and they were pretty awesome and friendly. They told us about their relationship with the United States and it was pretty interesting.

most important reason the Philippines is least visited country in south east asia compared to Thailand and Malaysia that have 20-40 Million tourist a year. The Philippines only has 5-7 Million tourist a year and less exploited and thus preserving its natural resources and much greener and cleaner than any other south east asian countries
Those countries are heavily promoted by the media. I like the Philippines how it is and less touristy.
Because philippines can only offer beaches while malaysia and thailand also offer cultural heritage. The philippines lacks cultural heritage

Enchanted river , Batanes, Siargao, Boracay, Iligan Waterfalls, Vigan and a lot of more I feel like you cant really make a top ten list of beautiful tourist spots in the Philippines, the list is just endless
I still get amazed of how much diverse and beautiful my country Philippines is whenever I visit places I've never been to. I get this feeling like I never wanna go back and just stay in certain places - just take it all in; the peace, the amazement and bliss of being in a paradise. It's impossible to explore all of the beautiful places of my country. A lifetime is not enough to spend traveling and visiting the over seven thousand islands. I'd prefer that my country gets less tourists, too much of tourism destroys my country's natural wonders. God gave us a peace of heaven on earth and it is called the Philippines. If you are a Filipino and have been travelling more abroad, then you've been missing out, there's just so much beauty in our country and it's all yours to explore.
Correct, I've been to some part of south east Asia and it would take me a lifetime to explore my own country. My bucket list Jolo and Tawi-Tawi peninsula.

The Social Gathering of the 7 Tribes of Bukidnon, known as Kaamulan festival. It's a fun festival because you get to meet the indigenous people and see them dance.
