    Did you just cut down the stock chain or is that a longer one you cut down? Also, do you have a link to that lift you have the bike on? Nice video.

      @@russellkeys3937 you need a longer chain so I got a longer one and then broke it down
      And then the lift is just a lawn mower “lift” that I made work with flipped a few things around and used straps and what not mine is from tractor supply but you can find them cheaper

    How big of an ac unit are you running in your garage, and is it a window unit and does it cool down to at least 78 degrees in there in the middle of summer? The reason why I'm asking is because I'm thinking about putting one in my two car garage, but I live in humid ville Jacksonville, Florida and I'm not sure if any ac will work down here in the middle of summer. Thumbs up on your video buddy. 👍

      Thank you for the support! 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍 I believe it is a 12,000 BTU AC. It is not a window unit. It is a portable wheel around one that you would see in like the living room of a house but it does work pretty good and I would say in my garage, it would cool it to below 78 but my doors don’t seal that great and it’s all gonna depend on how well your garage is insulated or sealed, you may be better off with one of those budget like standalone AC units that people use for apartments that are attached to their house or something especially if you are in Florida 👍👍🤟🤟🤟

    What size bolt is on that clutch . Mine came off & cannot find a bolt to fit the crank threads to hold clutch on

    Thank you. I've been trying to figure out the key arrangement that locks it all together. My adapter sleeve fits the crank but not the clutch hub. Weird. Have to machine the outside of my sleeve.

      Also did you tap the sleeve onto the crank? Because if you tap it on it will spread the sleeve and make it seem like it’s an outside diameter issue but if you take the inside down so that it easily slides on the outside diameter works fine

    • @1967res
      @1967res Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@bought2build No. The sleeve was a slip fit on the crank. The sleeve was a very tight fit in the driver parts by itself. I turned it down .013" on a lathe at work. Works beautifully.

    How reliable is this setup though? Any risk of the belt just snapping off or something going wrong?

    • @bought2build
      @bought2build  Před 4 měsíci

      so far so good the belt that came in the kit I am sure is on the cheap side because the kit was cheap but I am sure you can put a good belt on it and should be pretty reliable if kept from getting soaked 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟

    I have the same minibike I bought for my son what does this torque converter do?

    • @bought2build
      @bought2build  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Nice! and you can research the difference between a centrifugal clutch and a torque
      Converter but the short and sweet of it is that a torque converter is better for riding around the yard or trails it more or less changes gear ratios on the fly for
      More torque for climbing hills and taking off and also works well for cruising hope this helps 🤟👍 I would still Google it tho that was a very crude explanation 👍👍

      This is basically a CVT (continuously variable transmission) so it actually works like a gearbox without steps between gears - so going from a single gear setup to a gearbox. Design based on the DAF system from about 1958 - "Variomatic", and modern versions still used in cars. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variomatic

    • @Deucealive75
      @Deucealive75 Před 11 měsíci +2

      There are three pros about these torque converters. Smoother engagement, better low end, and higher top speed. The cons are that it behaves like a two speed automatic where it slips its way through a dramatic gearing change. And has an overdrive function once the belt shifts which doesn't work well with the stock Coleman engine and gearing. The stock arrangement works ok if you don't care about performance.

      @@Deucealive75 mine seemed to ride pretty good for being a stock 196 with the tq converter I definitely liked the tq converter for trails and just ripping around it made it “feel faster” but just did a few things to it in the video I put up this morning tho and it is definitely a ton better! .010 head gasket, 18lb valve springs, header, intake, jets, and a plug and it is night and day better keeping an eye out for a billet fly wheel but not sure yet if I’m going to do that and a rod 🤔

      @@Deucealive75 I feel like it’s just a lot of work and kind of defeats the purpose of the Coleman minibike. It was never intended to have a shit ton of power. It’s a trail/ backyard beater for kids I feel like if you wanted more power but you wanted something small you would just get a CRF 110?
