Colby Power Plant Modernizes with Cat C175s

When Winter Storm Uri chilled large areas of the western, central, and southern U.S. in February 2021-straining the power grid in some places so severely that millions of Americans had to go without power in below freezing temperatures-the cost of power soared.

HUGE missed point and cost. So, we eliminated jobs. Yea! however with CAT the emissions and other operating parameters are proprietary. So your local techs cannot do anything when it suddenly shuts down. CAT will not provide you the computer interface hardware or the software. Their get around is " were responsible for the emissions system". Your screwed calling them up and waiting. We have one, worst deal ever made. However the old unit, 1960's version, we can get going and runs and runs and runs. While the Cat is down for a sensor.
