  • Join us for a look around Marine Beach at Fleetwood, from the old Kite Club to the site of the former Fleetwood Pier. This video was filmed on a still and sunny Tuesday 1 September 2020. You'll find Marine Beach just off The Esplanade, behind the Marine Hall. The postcode for Marine Beach is FY7 6HF.
This look around video starts at the Central Car Park end of Marine Beach, accessed from Promenade Road, opposite The Mount public house. Walk along the seafront with us to the other end of this beach at Fleetwood, to rejoin The Esplanade between Balmoral Terrace and Windsor Place. On our look around this beach at Fleetwood, we pass beach huts and chalets, cafes, the Marine Hall, public toilets and the YMCA and swimming baths. The Mount and Gardens is just over the road.
This is classed as a bathing beach and holds a Seaside Award. To keep the bathing waters clean and safe, there is a ban on dogs on this beach during the summer season. It's also a safe paddling beach, traffic free and safe for kids and the family to visit and enjoy the views.
Next time you visit Fleetwood pay a call to this lovely beach and take a look around Marine Beach. There's also lots more about it and all of Fleetwood's seafront on our Visit Fleetwood website.

The red buoy is called a 'Starboard Hand Buoy. Named that because when entering a channel or harbour you should always pass it on Starboard (right) side of your vessel. Leaving harbour you would pass it on your port (left) side of your vessel. Often you get Port (green) and starboard (red) buoys together and should navigate between them.
Hope that helps and best wishes to all.

I’d be alright then! With my sense of left and right I’d be wrecked in no time!

Good timing for your vlog. As you say it's a nice place to get to the sea when the tide is in, but also when the tide is out there is plenty of sand exposed. I love this beach more than Cleveleys and yes, the parking is great and not too crowded for walking.

I read the notice quickly as you went by where it said do not clean up after your dog, I had to go back to read it again and then I saw it says ‘it is an offence if you do not’ - so Wyre wasn’t going mad !

Hi Anthony - yes, it's a radar training station used and owned by Blackpool and the Fylde College. More about it here: www.visitfleetwood.info/about/seafront/fleetwood-nautical-college/
