When they announced who was the singer and what is the title for Greece's Entry I Was excited since STEFANIA IS A JUNIOR EUROVISION LEGEND!!! Although i thought the song would be a cheesy basic pop song- I GUESS I WAS WRONG!!!!!!!!!

Immediately in my top 3. The staging will determine how high this can go. In the current pool it could be easily top 3 however the quality has been improving mostly throughout the season and it’s going to start to get tougher from here. For some reason I feel this will get a result similar to last year as Greece isn’t know for knockout staging. The upbeat songs they do tend to stage better, so maybe this will be top 10, something deep in my stomach however doesn’t feel top 5.

Fokas Evangelinos will be staging this. He is the one who staged Russia's 'You're the only one' (2018) among so many other great staged songs. So... we -here in Greece- have such high hopes for this...

lol thanks Gian. The "secret bang" thing is actually an editing thing - it helps me know when i have pressed play on the video. couple of times i have forgotten to say it and its a nightmare to sync the videos!!!!!

Stefania's parents are Greek but she was born and raised in the Netherlands. She acts in a Dutch tv series so she has acting experience, which does show in the video.
I like this song, especially this Greek vibe, although I can't get as hyper excited as you. It's a fun song and she'll probably be able to deliver live. We can expect slick staging from Greece. But yeah, it does all sound a bit thin to me.

@@ESCTom I get that; it's good to see that Greece is paying so much attention to the visual aspect of their entry. Kalomira was a great example.
We have to mention that the songwriters are the group Arcade, Sharon Vaughn the famous American Stockholm-based who wrote songs for other ESC performers like Mans Zamerlow, Helena Paparizou, Sergey Lazarev etc. and the absolute ESC legend, Dimitris Kontopoulos!

I REALLY like the song as I also was afraid that it's was gonna be a JESC entry, but I have MAJOR issues with the video. Even when Stefania is only 17 years old, the aesthetic and music video screams JESC for me.
I've done my top 24 before it gets too messy, whew that was hard work.
I've had to bring down my expectations about 3 rungs but I'm good now. So here goes, I foresee some hair tearing and a couple of threats 😂
1- Ukraine 🇺🇦. This is biased, it's not even my most listened to song, but it is my unshakeable favourite.
2 - Lithuania 🇱🇹. Every time I hear a bar I smile. (Israel 🇮🇱 also goes here if they picl feker libi)
3- Italy 🇮🇹. Objectively the best quality song in the contest. I feel it, all of it.
4 - Latvia 🇱🇻. I love her voice and her attitude and the song is a breath of fresh air, plus 👭 power. She rocks.
5 - Germany 🇩🇪. This is really the music Sergey Lazarev sang ten years ago. It's only 5th because I keep hearing Sergey's voice on the track and the poor child's actual voice doesn't quite come up to scratch, but I realise this is unfair.
6 - Norway 🇳🇴. Proper 80s chorus, exceptional performance, lifts up an ordinary song.
7 - Croatia 🇭🇷. Sue me.
8 - Slovenia 🇸🇮. Has grown on me after listening to newer, weaker entries. This is very like the Japanese soundtracks on stuff I've watched for years so I'm used to that sound really. Her voice is superb. I feel it too.
9 - UK 🇬🇧. Verse is my winner. It's proper wow I'm in love. Chorus is bargain basement. Average brings it here.
10 - Greece 🇬🇷. I want to love this but it's just too basic. As in one line basic. Love the girl, love the voice.
11 - Czech Republic 🇨🇿. Love the concept of Benny, it's just too repetitive and has no structure. Probably should be higher but it's MY list.
12 - France 🇫🇷. I'm just running out of contenders here.
13 - Armenia 🇦🇲. It's reasonably pleasant and different. I'm open to having it higher up.
14 - Belgium 🇧🇪. Beautiful, beautiful song but should be 30 seconds long only. The other 2:30 are just copy/paste copy/paste copy/paste.
15 - Romania 🇷🇴. Good in its own genre but I've outgrown vampires, sadly for her.
16 - Iceland 🇮🇸. Quirky but looks massively pretentious and up its own arse and the melody is the worst the eighties ever offered.
17 - Spain 🇪🇸. Really, Spain ? You've managed even more boring than France. Unacceptable from such a musical country.
18 - Moldova 🇲🇩. Like the tarnished echoey reflection of Greece.
19 - Albania 🇦🇱. Nothing wrong with it really... But there it is.
20 - Serbia 🇷🇸. Cringey and very dated. Nightclub music for housewives you want to fuck in an all you can drink Tenerife club. Terribly catchy but so is ringworm.
21 - Estonia 🇪🇪. In front of Poland because I can look at him.
22 - Poland 🇵🇱. Behind Estonia because I have to listen to her.
23 - Australia 🇦🇺. Song is painful, choreography is painful, voice is ULTRA painful. I can't even.
24 - Belarus 🇧🇾. A completely random assortment of noise.
What I THINK will actually be up there, the above being my personal taste.
Win between Italy 🇮🇹, Sweden 🇸🇪, Israël 🇮🇱, minor placings between Lithuania 🇱🇹, Norway 🇳🇴, Germany 🇩🇪, Ukraine 🇺🇦 , Romania 🇷🇴 and Greece 🇬🇷 possibly.

I don't LIKE Croatia but there's nothing else atm. And really it's not an unpleasant song, so I don't dislike it. And when we put the Balkans off the Balkans music, they bring us Poundland-Shakira instead in punishment.
I don't believe Belarus can have good songs. They seem terminally allergic to music. A bit like the Polish.
Estonia's second place was even worse than the winner, who can at least hold a note. Anyway you don't vote for Kirkorov, Kirkorov votes for you. If you expected anything else, I've a bridge to sell on the Liffey.

I heard a few people compare it to the Armenian song. The thing is that if the Armenian song was produced by an Armenian it would have sounded different. It was actually produced by a Greek so that’s why it sounds a little similar.

Greece can do a good staging something like Fuego. She have very beautiful voice. I love this song! I like much more this song! This song have some elements which reminds me a little bit type of music from Greece, China, Turkey and South Korea. Its sound too in verses like a hit from around 2010 year. My top 5! Tom thank you for your reaction and sorry to say this but I felt it was a bit forced . Especially the comment that it is a death sentence.
The lyrics are awful, but the rest of the song is amazing. When the quality of staging resembles the music video, it is a serious contender for the top 5.

The lyrics are symbolic. It's not about superpowers and stuff. It's about being a young female imagining a better future amd that cannot live into this world
Let's be honest: This song is not intended to win. After 6 years of experimentation with various music styles (From Freaky Fortune to Argo, Yanna Terzi, and Katherine Duska), Greece returns to its old popular recipe: upbeat pop happiness with ethnic touches sung by a young fresh girl (mainly, not exclusively) who can dance. Paparizou, Kalomoira, Eleutheria Eleutheriou, Sarbel, Yorgos Alkaios etc have done it already. Greece's song will be popular among the Eurofans who want to dance, but will they vote for it? I doubt. It will be an uplifting moment, especially among so many ballads, but....... Greece forgets an important Eurovision fact: Eurovision winners are not always the best songs, BUT they always have ORIGINALITY (only exception I can think of was Azerbaijan 2011). Eurovision winners always have a signature, an identity, a sui generis element. Especially during the last decade. A specific uniqueness, something we haven't seen or listened to before, at least on the stage of this contest. Unfortunately, Greece fails in delivering this originality. Another club friendly summery hit for the seaside clubs of Athens and the islands for the summer 2020. It's not a song that came to stay. In my opinion, it will reach the final, but there......

yea thats a very good summation. I dont think theres anything wrong with going to your "safe place" though. This is definitely the type of song Greece sent in the 00s when they wanted a guaranteed qualification.
I think theyve done loads of experimentation in recent years, so ive no problem with them going back to something safer
