    Just turned 70 yo. We are on the cusp of the end of motoring as my generation knew it......so I just ordered a new WRX Premium CVT (yeah - my shoulder and wrist are sore with osteo arthritis) and I’m gonna enjoy the hell outa this thing till they put me in a home with a mobility scooter - which of course will have mag wheels, a wild paint job and top of the range sound system 🤓

    I honestly just want it for the sportiness of it but not really to mod it. For daily use. Got 2 kids so looks like enough room for them. Just need a new adventure from my Crosstrek. And even though I might get some hate I'm looking for the automatic WRX 🤷‍♂️

    • @Carsideration
      @Carsideration  Před 2 lety

      There is nothing wrong with an automatic, especially with two kids. My daily driver Jeep took a crap on me and I have been hauling my dogs around in my Focus RS......a manual and dogs in the back is a nightmare, even when I shift as smooth as possible haha

    I own a 2020 wrx . Driving a wrx with stick is like driving a tractor, its notchy and mechanical , but the speeds I can hit in a corner with traction is priceless ..plus I eat Hondas from the dig ...subarus all wheel drive is like a cheat code , launching is fun , and this car is a beast in the winter . If you buy , you will enjoy 😉

    Great review! I have a 2020 crosstrek with a stick and overall it’s a great car. The problem is the power in the engine just lets me down. I would like to trade it up to a wrx limited because it seems to have all my needs as a driver who lives in an area where there is inclement weather and who also likes to have fun on the road (especially long trips)

      Thank you I appreciate you watching it! The Crosstrek is such a cool design. This was my first time in a newer WRX and I was really impressed. I don't think you would regret trading the Crosstrek in for a newer WRX.

    I have a 2020 Subaru WRX Limited, with 3,000.00 miles on it right now. Question to the owner of that WRX ? I observed the tire pressure light flashing while you were driving that WRX. I am experiencing the tire pressure light on , and I check the pressure, took the vehicle to dealership 6 times with no luck. I love the car but would like to find out how to fix the problem. We’re you able to correct the problem, if you had that problem ?

    • @Carsideration
      @Carsideration  Před 3 lety +1

      The owner just put his winter wheel/tire package on and I don't think he added TPMS sensors so his light will always stay on. That is very odd that the dealer can't get your light to stay off. They should have all the scan tools to set/reset your sensors. Sometimes with TPMS sensors, you have to drive on them for a while for them to reset. Have you checked your owner's manual for a TPMS reset?

    Good review. I have 2018 honda accord sport 1.5T and thinking about trading to a 2020 WRX Basic premium. Would you say it's worth it?

    • @Carsideration
      @Carsideration  Před 3 lety +2

      100% worth it even if you go with a base. The driving experience will be so much better than the Accord. No matter the trim level WRX you will experience that "WRX/rally car" feel that the Accord simply can't touch. Also, if where you live gets snow you will be praying for the first snow to go play and slide around in empty party lots.

    • @bj10jgo
      @bj10jgo Před 3 lety

      @@Carsideration been debating to trade my accord.. The only thing thats stopping me is a lot of car reviewers like car and driver or motor trend gave the wrx a not so good rating and reliability was poor.

    • @Carsideration
      @Carsideration  Před 3 lety

      @@bj10jgo We have two Accords for work vehicles that I drive to Chicago every other week so I understand the decision you are looking at. The Accord surprised me. I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I do. Reliability aside I lean towards the WRX because it satisfies my inner wannabe rally driver and gets me eager to get behind the wheel where as the Accord does not do that for me personally even though it is a fantastic driving car and may be more reliable.

    • @bj10jgo
      @bj10jgo Před 3 lety

      @@Carsideration The accord is pretty smooth. I have the 1.5 turbo version which is okay but the 2.0 Turbo Accord is very quick. In fact, it's about 5.5 sec from 0-60 which is about quick as the WRX and can probably keep up with the STI.You are right the WRX is very engaging and fun to drive but the interior is so outdated like its from the 1990's and you have to get a limited to get a nicer interior. But im sure most people buy the WRX or STi because of the performance not the interior or having the blows and whistles....

    • @Carsideration
      @Carsideration  Před 3 lety

      @@bj10jgo Yeah I would say people getting into a WRX/STI can ignore some of the things in the interior that are "missing" but at the same time I think the basic interior is what makes it attractive to some. I will say the Limited interior was really nice, especially the seats and the noise the turbo made seemed louder than my RS which I really liked.

    I hate everything about this car except it's looks.
    1. Broke at 28k miles, not my fault, took good care of it and rarely drove it hard.
    2. Aside from exhaust note, the cars engine emits so many of little sounds, that sounds like the motor us unraveling (whether the sounds
    I hear that I can't explain are issues, idk, sure doesn't sounds healthy)
    3. Has on many occasions struggled to turn over, have had revs drop to basically stalling at idle.
    4. FUCKING SLOW, so fucking slow, feels slower than the pos ej257 in every gear, especially accelerating from first
    5. Tune; rev hang, odd uneven power band, tune combined with the egr and ect, make driving this smoothly and smooth gear changes, a fucking miserable cunt to drive, (TUNE IT!!!!!! ummmm, stock motor broke at 28k (spun bearing) yeah, bad enough knowing its garbage, but risk the warranty so it drives somewhat like it should from day 1)
    Conclusion, do what you want, buy what you want, drive how you want, and have any opinion you want. I hate this car and will never waste my money or sanity with their penny pushing pieces of trash again.
