YES, that and when you're in the middle position it lowers the instrument's output volume, so when you're playing into either a dirty amp or a straight up distorted one, you can get far cleaner than you can with just a bridge pickup, and it maintains a lot more note definition and clarity than a neck pickup, especially if you don't have a treble bleed mod installed. I use my Tele's middle position all the time for when I absolutely need to not be distorting my Engl E650 sim on the lead channel, and it works.
So the 2 different Teles had different switch positions for their pickup settings? Why is that Seiji? Was that an intentional manufacturer decision or they just made a mistake?
The middle position for guitar pickups is a very underrated tone to me. I think more people should use it sometimes especially when doing a solo.
it's my favorite position on HH guitars like les pauls.
Same, I've put a switch to access it on my Strat, it's best of both worlds

I find middle position is more right hand technique sensitive. It rewards precision and punishes sloppiness.

I looked up the specs for this guitar. It has a 4-way switch and the order is bridge - both parallel - neck - both series
Ну да.... Все ж гитаристы поголовно глухие и не в состоянии отличить звучание той или иной комбинации датчиков.
