- Arsenal may have found the perfect backup to Bukayo Saka after being linked with a move for PSV’s Johan Bakayoko.
The Belgian has been in fine form, emerging as one of the most impressive young attackers in Europe. Several clubs wanted to sign him last summer.
He turned down approaches to develop further and has helped his current club win the league.
Now, he has to decide on his future again. A report on HBVL insists Arsenal’s interest is serious, and the Gunners are eager to add him to their squad permanently.
The report claims the attacker is also being followed by other clubs, and Arsenal has stepped up their interest by contacting his entourage about signing him.

Ive always wanted Bakayoko at Arsenal and have always hoped that Arsenal would look at him amidst the Liverpool links. We need that explosive RW that can challenge Saka and bring something different to the right hand side. City have Doku, Liverpool have Diaz and Chelsea have Mudyrk, would be nice to have the same
This someone I think I would pass on at the moment. I also feel we need a different look when rotating Saka, rather than someone who is essentially going to do the same thing and cut inside.
All his shots are mainly outside the box, he also takes up a lot of central positions. He's also amazing at crossing and has amazing speed and more dynamic dribbling then Saka. He'd be an amazing option to challenge Saka on the wings. We don't need options anymore we need players who will challenge each other to start. However, I do believe a LW is what we need more as Martinelli isn't cutting it and Trossard will be 30 this coming season.
He should be called Baku, mixture of Saka, Doku and himself. Saka and Baka would be amazing combo. Just sounds right!
If we do not bring someone in on that right side like this guy who is stronger, aggressive, fast and more physical than Saka, then we do not want to win the league. This guy got all the attributes to rotate with Saka and provide high competition on that right wing.
The EPL players and defenders know all you have to do is get overwhelmingly physical with Saka, and his game is shut down. We need Saka rotation, especially with the number of games we will have. It is important to also give Saka some good rest. Saka position needs competition. Every other position on the team have one of two players competing for it except on that right wing. We need to fix that shit.

I think if PSV are willing to part with him between 30-40M I think Arsenal should pull the trigger. Arsenal should be fighting for all 4 comps this season so I think Johan would be able to get in somewhere around 20 appearances. not bad for a first season playing behind a world class player in Saka and down the line would bring in excellent selling value

Bakayoko looks very raw...like Duku of Man City. He plays with a lot of flair and speed though.

Arteta seems to prefer Nico Williams at Athletico Bilbao who is more versatile and more creative and attacking than Bakayoko. Nico can stand in for Saka n Martinelli comfortably but Bakatoko seems very RW biased. The Arsenal team is better than anyone else at identifying players that suit their system. Thats why there's more talk of Nico than Bakayoko.

What's funny is supposedly Saka and Bakayoko are the same height, 179cm, and Bakayoko is 4 kg heavier at 76kg?
Except when you look at these two guys, Bakayoko looks like a mini-tank, whereas Saka is like a ninja motorcycle.
I don't know how much Bakayoko would sell for, obviously, at least 25-35m. But as good as his stats are, I seriously prefer Desire Adoue, especially as he would likely cost around the same price. 😂❤
Nah. Just like Fofana, look the highlights and you will notice what he lacks. In terms of Wingers i dont fancy tricksters, specially in legaues with lots of spaces and/or are more known for long transitions and counters (Like Bundes). Could do with his physical, i dont know about the mental part, every player can be coached, but im biased towards tricksters cuz the "confidence" part.
