Chukwumeka was our man of the match.
I don't really think it's Lampards fault. Creating chances and not scoring has been the story of our season, even at the beginning under Tuchel. Lampard has taken over a team low on confidence and not together, and he can't do anything to change it. If Kai, Conor and Mudryk put away those EASY chances (that any other team would've scored, even soton) it would be a different story. Lampard can't make them score ! Get Lampard on the pitch instead 😂
Lazy excuse. We USED to create chances and not finish. Now, we don’t create.
The stats are there for everyone to see. We are a bottom half side on every metric. Us not scoring goals is not due to us missing sitters (we do at times dont get me wrong). Us not scoring goals is simply because we dont create enough.
And if you look at the previous four coaches we had prior to Potter (Lampard included), we were always up there w city and liv for possession, chances created, and chances conceded. Of course back then, our issue was ACTUALLY bad finishing.
Nowadays it aint the same.
We genuinely lost control in the midfield this season. Every game was box to box, every win (extremely rare) was a scrape, and most importantly every loss was humiliating.
Oppositions view us as an “easy team to play against”, which is ironic bc TT vowed to make us the exact opposite in his first press conference. half.
This is so correct, it isn't that chances aren't created but can't be turned into goals...

I was there when we were shit in the 80’s and early 90’s. I was at Wembley when we beat Luton in the 94 FA Cup Semi Final, and when we lost to United in the final. I was there waving my flag on Fulham Road for the open top bus parade even though we lost! That was a big day for Chelsea fans back then! It’s been an incredible 20 years!! Far beyond anything I’d have dreamed of as a kid cheering on Kerry Dixon and John Spencer. But that can’t last forever. Even United, who dominated English football before us have had a mediocre decade. We’ll rise again soon.
I can take being average again, but what I can’t tolerate is a squad of champions on enormous salaries who can’t even put the effort in for fans who have travelled and paid hard earned money to follow this club!!! Sick of watching Havertz stroll around the pitch every week like he’s half asleep!
