Until Tuesday, the public has not seen footage from inside Robb Elementary leading up to the tragic deaths of 21 people.
The fact that children were calling and begging 911 for help…while the police were *right outside* is absolutely disgusting and infuriating.
More than once at that...so heartbreaking.

The station edited out the screams of the victims, but the police on site could clearly hear them. They could also hear them diminish, knowing that meant casualties of helpless children. This is an utter disgrace.
i’m so dissapointed. knowing the fear those kids and teachers had broke my heart. why become a police officer if your not going to live up to your oath which is to protect and serve your community. as much as i appreciate law enforcement, i have so furious in seeing what these officers done and how they were just sitting there. this will not be forgotten and this will forever be on your conscious. UNACCEPTABLE.
actualllyyyy, it's not in the police constitution that they have to protect you or stop you from getting harmed their only responsibility is to bring down the person breaking the laws.
So technically speaking, what they're doing in the "Supreme Courts" eyes is completely fine, it's not actually in their agenda to stop people from getting hurt or killed.

This is the most disturbing and disgusting display of coward behaviour I think I'll ever witness in my lifetime. How could those grown men in protective gear with guns of their own leave those children and helpless adults in that situation? Protocol doesn't count when children are being slayed in the room next to you. I normally would never wish bad upon anyone but I hope the screams and pleas for their lives ring in those mens ears for the rest of their lives. As a former officer who was trained by men that only carried a six shooter, I observed these men bravery first hand as they would kick in any door and take on any suspect, their bravery was passed down to me and I hoped I had passed it down to officers I trained. What I just watched is the highest level of cowardice I have ever seen, and I would be ashamed to say I was a cop from the Uvalde area. Rest in peace children, sorry these men failed to protect you.

A few days after the shooting, I asked a friend of my dad’s who’s a retired officer what he thought of the cops’ actions. He said, “If I’m at a school, with a gun, and I hear shooting - back up or not - I’m going in.”
And yet there were 50 of them with assault rifles wearing bullet proof vests, and they failed to confront the shooter doing absolutely nothing just standing there for 78 minutes. Disgusting! These officers belong in jail for their lack of empathy, negligence and for their insane cowardice and stupidity.
Maybe citizens should be able to sue the police for failure to protect them. They are, after all, paid with the tax dollars of the people they protect.

They protected themselves which is great and all, but they can shoot innocent people at a traffic stop and not save children? The first sound of a shot and I’m weeping. I can’t imagine what those children thought or felt, as well as their teachers. If this is hard for me a stranger who has no ties to these people I can’t even imagine the vast of the pain and emotions their families felt when seeing this and knowing this is how their loved ones passed.

As a vet and a father this made me bawl like a baby how could they stand there and listen to the gun fire.
I just came from watching the hallway footage roughly 15-20 minutes until an officer walked in with a shield I paused the video right there and counted 7 officers 5 of whom had rifles in there hands could have stormed the shooter and ended it

I love how everyone was rushing to go after the shooter once he was killed...I wish they had this same willingness to go in at the start of all this...this breaks my heart.
The fact that these men weren't fired and arrest for manslaughter or some type of responsibility that resulted in those kids deaths really shows the lack of accountability by all parties responsible.

This doesn't look like the millions of dollars in training I see in the video. You know the training video where they come into a building in a stack formation quickly and methodically working their way to the shooter to neutralize the threat. This looks more like a bunch of scared officers.
That's what they are supposed to do. These cops were cowards when they were needed the most. As a direct result, children died.

This is heartbreaking! So many children lives lost and to see this many officers standing here unwilling to take on one shooter, is really difficult to take in.
My heart broke when I saw the police running away like cowards after hearing the gun shots… who did they think were being shot!?? And the length of time from the first video until they took him down was entirely too long. Those babies could have been saved …😢
Here’s a horrifying fact - The officers asked for anyone that needs help to yell “help”, a little girl did exactly that and was shot dead by the shooters. Ontop of their incompetence, they also directly resulted a child in being killed by the shooter. Despite lockdown training saying to keep as quiet as possible.

I’m nervous to watch it... I’ve never been so emotional about something that didn’t involve me but this case has brought me to tears so many times.
Seeing that kid look down the hallway and realize what was happening was so sad.
The thing that I’m upset about is that there were so many of those officers they could easily overthrow that shooter but they chose not to it’s just mind boggling when you think about it.

The “PRIORITY OF LIFE ” is literally spelled out in Texas training materials for first responders:
1. the lives of innocent civilians come first,
2. then those of first responders,
3. and then, last, that of the offender.
There is no waiting for keys or shields or even for more police backup: police must act to neutralize the threat immediately, even if it puts their own life in danger.
Yet for some reason in Uvalde, the priority of life scale got catastrophically, disturbingly twisted.
Anyone who thinks only cops should have guns, WATCH THIS VIDEO. Cops have no constitutional obligation to protect you, so protect yourselves!
I've fought three wars in military career. I've seen cowardice before on the battlefield, but never on a scale like this. 18 law enforcement against a single, untrained 18 year old with limited ammunition. Unbelievable.

These officers are completely sick in their heads for watching innocent children die and doing nothing about it. So the parents tried to take control by trying to jump over the fence and forcefully enter the school and classrooms to save their kids, but the cops detained, arrested and even tasered the parents for trying to help their kids. The pigs deny ever stopping the parents from saving their kids or restraining them, enraging. I hope these pigs rot in jail for a very long time. Sounds like manslaughter to me.

As a mother of a 10 year old my heart breaks for those babies and their families. This is every parents worst nightmare and happening too often in our country.

Just heard the officer who stopped and checked his phone only checked it because his wife from the classroom was letting him know theres a shooter im her class before being shot her self….this whole incident is just heartbreaking every time you hear something about it

The public and victims families requires no more proof that the officers actions or inactions gravely jeopardized the lives of many innocent children and teachers. (We) implore the officers to graciously, quietly and discreetly as possible resign from their Leo positions starting from top to bottom.

I think since Uvalde police got there first, they sort of called the shots and all other agencies followed through.
They should lose their badges for this pathetic act of cowardice and complete refusal to do their job. This is a prime example of why we can’t rely on law enforcement to protect us. We NEED to be able to protect ourselves. I can’t even comprehend the pain parents of the innocent victims feel knowing many many lives could have been saved that day.
it's not in the police constitution that they have to protect you or stop you from getting harmed their only responsibility is to bring down the person breaking the laws.
So technically speaking, what they're doing in the "Supreme Courts" eyes is completely fine, it's not actually in their agenda to stop people from getting hurt or killed.

This is so gut wrenching to watch. How sad that the innocent little children and the innocent teachers died because people who were suppose to help, failed every single person who died that day. How sad.

If the officers would have gone straight in to neutralize the gunman, they would have saved lives. As soon as the officers engage the gunman, the gunman's attention shifts to the police and off the children. He may have taken 1 officer, but the ordeal definitely would have ended there, as the other officers would shoot the gunman seconds later. Unfortunately you can hear a child screaming just after the gunman opened fire. If hearing those screams doesn't put things into perspective as to how important it was for someone to get there and do something I don't know what will. I definitely saw something that was conduct unbecoming a first responder, and that was running away. At 3:55 to 4:01 you can see one officer retreating, but checking his neck for what he thought was a minor scratch. As if he was hit by something. That's about all he seemed to care about...and that is whether he was ok or not. I wouldn't consider all of the police cowards. I'd say some of them were not willing to risk their lives to save someone else's kids. I say someone else's kids because I'll give the police the benefit of the doubt that they would have stormed in there if it were their own children. There is a woman that ran into the building to get her kids despite the dangers and she was successful. She's the face of bravery! No purple hearts for bravery awarded for this mission. 10-4
There was an off duty police officer who ran to save his kid. Since he knew the police they let him in there. Not fair they grant him permission but not to the other parents.
The Supreme Court ruled almost 20 years ago that police have no duty to protect us. Sad that people still haven't figured this out.
They would've all got shot and killed. Also more kids would've been killed in the crossfire.
Two cops with ballistic shields and one guy with a rifle in the middle could have possibly killed the shooter with no additional casualties. It doesn't take a whole army.

Naturally, The Mayor's concern is not for the incident that occurred, but rather for why the information about law enforcement's failures are becoming public, causing embarrassment to his administration.

Clearly it shows that the officers were more scared of the shooter than running in and stopping the shoot, my heart goes to the uvalde community. My heart sank just how long they took discussing how to approach the situation. Aren’t they suppose to be armed to take charge instead of debating behind the scenes?! What is considered enough, I really want to know. Showing the cracks of the system being broken, I just hope they get justice, accountability and truth. Kids are dying more the longer they wait outside the hallway, just sad to see the officer more scared than just dodging forward and retreating back.
The officers had the training they needed in active shooter situations. What they didn’t have was balls to execute

This makes my blood boil, I have 2 kids, and I would give my life to even save another kids life even if it left my daughters fatherless, and I'm not even in law in law enforcement, these cops should get life in prison for not trying to save the 19 kids lives.
They should be SPRINTING towards the sound of gunfire. They have protective vests, the kids and teachers, of course, do NOT! ALL of the police force after 1130 should be fired and run out of town. Cowardice should NOT be rewarded.
True. Unfortunately, police only have courage when they have overwhelming force (tanks, shields, SWAT team, stun grenades) or they are confronted with a helpless, unarmed person. It shouldn't surprise us, since we see them shooting at everything under the sun...literally jumping at shadows, like that one cop who shot a woman who came up to him in his patrol car at night.

As a Vietnam Vet, I have never seen, known, or even imagined such cowardice in all of my life! Again, law enforcement does not exist in Uvalde TX. Law enforcement is an oxymoron. Armed and vested officers running away from the shooter and leaving those innocent babies to fend for themselves. I wonder how many of the children in that school aspired to be a cop when they got older because cops are supposed to be courageous heroes, but that day those very heroes let every single one of those children down.
The children were instructed by their teacher and the sole survivor, Mr. Reyes, to pretend they were asleep, but one of the officers yelled for them to call out if they needed help. One little girl did because she trusted in the police, believing they were there to protect her. Not only did she receive no response from the cop or any of his colleagues, but she'd revealed herself to the shooter and he opened fire again. She died because of that cop and the faith she had in him. And Mr. Reyes waited for over an hour for them to do their jobs and save him because he thought that's what they were supposed to do. That's what he expected of them. But they only cared about protecting themselves.
Even in the aftermath, they lied to the press (police falsifying reports to the public is such a common practice that it's known as "testilying") with conflicting accounts of events and are now harassing one of the parents who ran into the school for opening up about what happened, even threatening her with charges for disruption. If they had even an ounce of shame or human dignity, they'd be drowning in guilt right now and facing the full consequences that they deserve for letting this happen, but they continue to do nothing but protect and serve their own interests. Cowards and monsters, every last one of them. Blood is on their hands just as much as the shooter's, but the shooter is dead (no thanks to them), so they're all we have left to direct our ire at now.
@Jessica B, your opinion on this subject is irrelevant. There are no female SWAT, and there was no female SWAT officer present in Uvalde. Women and men are equal right? I support it, great. Then if you believe that, then women should sign up to be SWAT officers. Until then you can't criticize a job that you would never do yourself, and could never do.
@Kyran Sawhill You are on point with everything you said because that is exactly what happened. I've been following the story from the beginning. Even the timeline of events did not make sense. The school district put out a tweet about an active shooter 10 mins before it was even reported that someone saw the gunman crash his truck prior to the shootings. It's all another false fkn flag op and that is why the cops stood down because they were told to. Not one cop questioned this absurd order, instead they were running away or tackling desperate parents outside.
