They weren't even eating the food normally, they were taking tiny AF bites and purposely ruining the food. For example, when watching the try guys video with Matt, Qwesy couldn't eat the hot dog the way Matt would without being slower than usual. So he ate it regularly and tried his best. But those four were straight up just making fun of his content to be 'quirky' and 'funny.'

Very well said Scott. I've liked Matt for a long time not only because the things he can do is simply incredible but also because he takes what he does so seriously. The word you were looking for to describe Matt is "genuine". He doesn't BS around and act like a goof just to entertain. He just is himself and looked to share his passions with others. Matt’s video with Try Guys was actually entertaining and you could tell both that Matt was having a good time and that they actually genuinely tried. They barely talked and were just eating as fast as they could. I’m not a fan of try guys but still loved and sat through that whole video. I recommend people watch that. That is exactly what this collaboration should have been, instead it was just obnoxious elementary school humor. Which I guess yeah, it’s aimed towards kids. But I still don’t see why that’s okay. Being obnoxious and annoying in children’s content teaches those kids to be obnoxious and annoying.

The set up is different. The try guys are way more professional and better at their jobs. Ro is just a random CZcams Red person I've literally never heard of. Used to watch her videos and enjoyed her baking content but now she’s been flying to close to the sun with fame and hiding/ lying about the obvious changes in her face that plastic surgery is obvious, making her look more old with her cheeks recently looks more aged with wrinkles a bit too fast . Lying is something that I don’t respect and she probably has a staff to delete comments about that. Definitely hard to enjoy her content anymore and even some of her side videos are boring and she is still keeping up her persona of clumsy / goofy childish. Still not 100 % sure on if I should still respect her anymore but definitely going to avoid posts from her.

God, I couldn't even finish the video. The sheer disrespect and unprofessionalism that Matt had to go through was unimaginable. I truly have to give props to Matt for not just walking out because we barely have any amazing CZcamsrs left that step up, represent, and lead their communities/genres by example and for them to mock and belittle one of those choice few people like their kids at a damn zoo is heartbreaking.
I live in Hawaii and met Matt and his brother at a restaurant/bar. I totally know it's not always appropriate to walk up to "celebrities" when they're eating, but I just wanted to say hello as I've been watching him for years, long before his current fame. He was the kindest guy ever, and his brother even took a photo for us. Matt could have totally told me to screw off and he wouldn't have been wrong, because I was impeding on his dinner. But he was a totally awesome person about it and I'll never forget that.
And based off of watching the full video. You can't let ego get in the way. It's a waste of life you just have to go with the flow and have fun if that's what you have to do. Go with the flow and get serious, just go with the flow. Getting caught up in the wrong self importance can hurt your own self for no reason.

I'm only halfway into the video, and I'm just dying to tell the contestants to just EAT THE bleeping FOOD. Oh my god. Why do people put so much more effort into doing something the wrong way? Or even just straight-up cheat? It is a large meal, but they could've at least /tried/. They literally signed up for it, and the food isn't crazy, albeit maybe lukewarm.

She always seems so nice and welcoming of a person, and I feel like she was just trying so hard in this situation to be all cute and whatever, that she just completely spat on Matts passion. Regarding the chicken wings, I agree he left a ton of meat on them. I suspect there are rules in contests that allow that to prevent anyone from choking on a piece of bone.

It makes me sad to know he was treated like that and not given the respect that the other creators on the show would want to be shown.
The word you were looking for to describe Matt is "genuine". He doesn't BS around and act like a goof just to entertain. He just is himself and looked to share his passions with others. That's the opposite of the mainstream CZcamsrs who are over the top, fake, and goofy to entertain their young child audiences. Matt’s video with Try Guys was actually entertaining and you could tell both that Matt was having a good time and that they actually genuinely tried. They barely talked and were just eating as fast as they could. I’m not a fan of try guys but still loved and sat through that whole video. I recommend people watch that. That is exactly what this collaboration should have been, instead it was just obnoxious elementary school humor. Which I guess yeah, it’s aimed towards kids. But I still don’t see why that’s okay. Being obnoxious and annoying in children’s content teaches those kids to be obnoxious and annoying.

Yet the same wasn't extended for Matt Stonie when it came to his passion with competitive eating and was treated more as a joke.
Like imagine if in the baking episode of this YT original, which Ro is a professional of, and they also didn't take as seriously like this episode. Imagine how disrespectful that would be. Used to watch her videos and enjoyed her baking content but now she’s been flying to close to the sun with fame and hiding/ lying about the obvious changes in her face that plastic surgery is obvious, making her look more old with her cheeks recently looks more aged with wrinkles a bit too fast . Lying is something that I don’t respect and she probably has a staff to delete comments about that. Definitely hard to enjoy her content anymore and even some of her side videos are boring and she is still keeping up her persona of clumsy / goofy childish. Still not 100 % sure on if I should still respect her anymore but definitely going to avoid posts from her.

I live in Hawaii and met Matt and his brother at a restaurant/bar. I totally know it's not always appropriate to walk up to "celebrities" when they're eating, but I just wanted to say hello as I've been watching him for years, long before his current fame.
He was the kindest guy ever, and his brother even took a photo for us. Matt could have totally told me to screw off and he wouldn't have been wrong, because I was impeding on his dinner. But he was a totally awesome person about it and I'll never forget that.
He is truly a nice guy and some people think it’s cool to piss off the nice guys. Also it sounds like a dream come true to have met him!

I'm only halfway into the video, and I'm just dying to tell the contestants to just EAT THE bleeping FOOD. Oh my god. Why do people put so much more effort into doing something the wrong way? I've seen Rosanna in other content and she's always so nice and professional (at least in what makes it in to those videos-- I realize editing can do a lot). I'm wondering if there might have been an element of women feeling like there's a taboo around stuffing their faces on the internet, because they already get hate comments about their looks etc? I feel like at least part of it was probably a director telling them to keep cracking jokes too. Either way, that was hard to watch and Matt deserved better.

I totally agree, I can watch anyone down some chicken wings but just watching someone else shoving wet bread into their mouths makes me feel like I'M shoving wet bread into my mouth and I get so nauseated lmao

At first I was like “Well I mean they’re all having fun and joking around surely it’s not that bad?”
Then after seeing Matt’s face and hearing the silence after Preston finds the burger just made me feel awkward and bad for Matt, like yeah it’s a show for fun but you can see how passionate he is about his craft and the least they could’ve done is take it a bit seriously
I mean, hiding the burger by itself would effectively qualify as cheating at any professional level MLE event, and I can't think of anything more disrespectful to a professional in any sort of competitive field than to just out and out cheat like that and then treat it as a joke. Hell, people hiding food to make it look like they've eaten more than they really have has led to Deflategate level scandals for MLE competitors in the past.
Matt eating the corn sounds like that old school Chuck E Cheese ticket muncher sound
