Earl Heads For Merseyside

Hello & Welcome to another short video from Harnetty Railways.
In this video we see the famous loco in Tyseley's fleet in 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe as he works Vintage Trains's The Mersey Express from Tyseley to Liverpool & return via Runcorn.
This was the 1st time since October 2011 that the castle had visit Liverpool & it was a great way to see the Castle in Merseyside.
We start at Hartford on the WCML as we see the castle race by through the station as he heads north to Weaver Junction from there would join the mainline towards Liverpool via Runcorn.
Then for the return trip was the highlight of the day seeing 5043 attacking the 1 in 93 grade of Edge Hill bank with no assistance from 47773 at the rear.
The sound was tremendous & the loco was working so hard the City of Liverpool could hear him for miles around & getting a shower of sut from his double chimney in the process as he climbs towards us which is were we end this video.
