  • In this brief video we see the famous loco in Tyseley's fleet 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe as he works Vintage Trains's The Cathedrals Express from Dorridge to Cardiff Central & return via The Welsh Marches.
Originally intending on going to Church Stretton for the outward run but due to a trespasser/suicider between Rugby & Milton Keynes Central our planned train to Crewe to catch our connection was cancelled and no choice but to cancel Church Stretton shot of the Castle on the outward run.
So we start at Hereford as we see the arrival & departure of the Castle to drop off passenger who had opted to have the day at Hereford instead of going all the way to Cardiff Central.
We end this video with 5043 in fine fettle albeit with some diesel assistance through Abergevenny in a burst of sunshine as the Castle came towards us.
Great catching up with ‪@crunchynutsteamfilms5043‬, ‪@LiamsLocos‬ & ‪@WestCountrySteamVideos‬ at Abergevenny.
Thanks for reading enjoy the film.
