So the Giants transfered their souls into the marbles and left their soulless bodies all over the realm to trick the Aesir and any unwelcome visitors that they were dead.
Yeah but for all intent and purposes. They are dead. They can't come out of there. They don't technically exist. But wasn't that the point of kratos and loki I hear you ask? Nope. Just killed the whole game off for no reason.
@@Qam001 Dumbass take.
@@Qam001 But they can get released from the marble. You see it happen in the game. That's the point of Loki.
@Cloudy Rides yeah but he only released the one for jormungander. All the theories for going to jotunheim font even make sense anymore. Like jotunheim was pure waste of time for the last game. There wasn't any purpose apart from scattering the ashes. A bit of a let down really. Especially after all the mimir stories
@@2shae475 so what's your take on it? Enlighten me.
Giants were so afraid to die they killed themselves💀
They didn't tell us what happens if you destroy those marbles so what if Odin is still alive after Sindri crushed his marble ? Maybe it just freed Odin again instead of killing him
They died forever, denied an afterlife for them.
@@angkhoanguyen6114 What happened with Brok. Chekovs gun. They mentioned about the soul having nowhere to go and just disappearing for that reason. Odin is dead. Unless he went to that realm tear? Or wherever Gods go when they die.
Maybe not exactly like Brok, his soul wasn’t separated.
@@thomasalvarez6456 Odin confirmed in conversation Gods go nowhere when they die, so he's just dead there's no afterlife for him
@@ArchWizardCj Odin kinda shot himself in the foot, remember when Magni died ? ODIN himself made the god death unable to go to Hel or Valhalla, so Magni is death forever and because of that curse, Odin himself is also dead forever
What I’ve never understood about the giants is that Atreus tells Kratos they are not actually giant except for the snake but the wolfs are also giant, there is a giant frost giant and when they get to jotinheim (I probably spelled that wrong) all the dead corpses are giant! Why are some giants big and others are not it makes no sense.
what i thought was the bigger giants are like the elders of loki’s people
My theory is the longer you stay in Jotenheim and consume its natural resources the bigger and stronger you grow.
No, what they mean is not all giants are always giant. Thamuar could his shape, there are shapeshifting and wolf giants in the murals we see. Faye probably had this power too.
they’re called giants bc Jotunn translates to “Devourer, glutton, dangerous” the Norse word isn’t going to be related to the French word “Géant” which comes from the Greek word “Gigante” which mean the same: powerful, mighty, strong. The jotunn to the Norse and the Titans to the Greek are the same pantheon: huge primordial elemental creatures.
Everyone thinks the Jotnar have the same powers and they’re wrong, only a few of them can change size not all of them are 30ft tall like Skrymir and not all can change their form like Thiazi.
What Kratos means is that not every giant is actually big, though some are. The giants are just a race, like the elves, dwarves or Aesir. Some of them are normal human size like Atreus, Angrboda and Faye. Others are large like Gryla. Some are massive like the giant corpses we see. It simply varies from giant to giant. They can all be different sizes. It’s just how their race is. The name “giant” makes this confusing so it’s better to just call them Jotnar
The music is amazing when she started talking about the giants
So now that Odin is gone, can’t Atreus just return the souls back to their original bodies?
Bodies decay, best case transfer souls into new bodies
@@naturalLin well I didn’t really think about how much time went by at this point 🤣🤦🏾♂️
@@avenueq I guess they could try to travel back in time
What's weird is that when the animals had their souls whispered out, they just turned to hald dead zombies...but the giants apparently just died? Unless they starved to death I guess? But then some of them died with tools, which suggests they were consciously doing stuff when they died.
@@pandapee8145 No, Angraboda says about her father because Giants were taught that spell. They went around putting each other into marbles like with we saw with Odin.
Now that is fascinating, only one of the soul's components is bound to the marble, which is probably direction. Direction probably recognizes the marble as a "living body" and then pulls the other 3 pieces towards it by default.
Man i thought the giant just runaways to the other land
So atreus could travel it
Maybe some did. Atreus has about 15 marbles ? And apparently that girl was still finding a few of them, but even so I don't think all the giants put their souls into marbles. Maybe some stayed behind while other like younger ones, families ect all fled to different lands
@@andrewpayne5093 ain't that already have a soul ?
The rest is getting slaugther by norse god
@@Bncxx1275 well, Angrboda and her grandma live. There's still chance there's other giant that live and fled from Norse. Small chance fleeing from Norse Realm but maybe it could be the theme for atreus in next game?
Keep up the good work
I believe those wolfs where Giants that Atreus meet at the beginning of Jotunheim ‼️
lmao atreus looks like the surprised emoji when she climbed thst thing up
My theory, adult Athreus back to the past like Jormungandr and he's the one who blew the horn when his past sick and he's the one who spread marbles around midgard
So they Horcrux thermselves.
Giant grandma was angry
Atreus's first giant fight and it mostly against a pot.
This game is a prequel to Pokémon and The Mask.
bro i taught you were gonna comment on there i was waiting for you to say something lol
The most random retarded comment ever
Brother do you have any video that proves who blew the horn in the previous Game ?
Jesus Christ - our saviour
@@VideoGameSophistry actually wasnt my son it was me.....
Good to know 😌
@@God-np9wg but He is you!!
Kratos blew the horn...gallahorn yh?
This game looks like it belongs in a scence in avatar
Isn't Thiazi Skadi's father in previous game? Where he was killed by his own daughter because of Odin's trickery with apple of Idunn and stuff? I dont understand
What if the missing giants from jotunheim traveled back in time to
escape odin and end up in greece and are the original titans from
that mitology?
We see the world serpent go back in time and he's a giant
We get a better explanation for why kratos had a profecy in north
mythology and a destiny in greek mythology.
ldk i think that would be amazing for a next game
That would make kratos and even Zeus part Giants, since they are related to Kronos, but that doesn't seem the case. Kratos doesn't seem to have any bond with the Giants, unlike Atreus. Also the titans don't seem as wise as the Giants, except maybe Gaia and their intentions aren't that pure
I thought Thor happened to the Jötunn haha
What a retcon!
The theme song “lullaby of the giants” says ‘time hides us, we fade soon’ it talks about sleeping. I reckon this was at least partly planned. So sort of, but also no?
@@thomasalvarez6456 I love that song, song is really great
How is a retcon?
@@luxi-x2361 OP thinks that the original idea was that the giants were dead. I’m not too sure.
I've finished the game,
A few things ill say without spouling too much.
I'm sadly disappointed that they didn't tie all the arcs well. What happened to the giants??? They're all in marbles??
I thought they might come out of hiding...once Gods grow good. I.e. kratos and loki... but nothing.
And who blew the horn?? We don't know. They really did rush the storyline. It really should have been 3 games. And the amount of loading screens is ridiculous. Like every area you walk through the tunnels like 5 times if not more.
The game is good apart from these 2 issues. The fighting arc was ok, nothing special
They explained all of it except the giants fate
@@johnparker8165 did they? I must have missed some of it. Who blew the horn? I really have no idea
@@Qam001 The horn was Kratos blowing Heimdall's horn. The game explains that when that horn is used it can be heard throughout all time and space.
@Cloudy Rides that doesn't even make sense. If it blew through time then you would hear it all the time lol. Secondly the serpent was called. That's why the boat had moved. The heimdall horn explanation doesn't even work.
Quite simply they messed up.
@@Qam001 it was Kratos
WHY ARE THE BODIES BLOODY? if they transferred their souls but why does it look like a straight war happened
It was to trick the Aesir into thinking Thor killed them all off
@@gnm7858 how does that makes sense they know giants escaped and I'm sure thor and odin would recall killing all the giants in that realm THEY COULDNT GAIN ACCESS INTO
Dead on the money Lucas! I was wondering the same thing. If no one had access to jotun how did they die? So why even lay a trap? They knew it was only a matter of time and decided to off themselves?
These "marbles" are huge and yet the bag is human sized. Either only half a dozen made it or that bag is infinite on the inside. God this makes no sense whatsoever.
Its infinite and she doesn’t have all marbles
Sindri has an infinite bag where he keeps all sorts of things. Could be something similar, but i don't think all giants transferred their souls to marbles, some just fled to other lands.
MOST of giants are dead
So there are only some of them in this bag
Why the fuck would you look for logic in this game to begin with, let alone in a bag of marbles?
Idk why Atreus kinda threw the soul marbles back into the bag the way he did the first two. If someone showed me a bag full of marbles and told me to look at them, I wouldn't just borderline throw them back in the bag.
this is so dumb. It feels more like the writer wrote the giants died without any plan on the future.
Dumb story! This is how we DONT have to program giants @ Ragnarok! The acting is bad. Kifs trying to tell an adult story killed the story!
So Norse gods are black now?
Right, okay. Thanks Sony.
Bro, they’re mythological creatures. They’re not real. How does it matter if she’s black? Also, she’s not a god.
@@nicklasbrixa4299 Because you know how many black people there were in the 1100s in Norway?
None
@@harryshuman9637 I know that. But do you know how many gods and jotnar there were in Scandinavia during the Viking age? Also none. It’s fictional
@@nicklasbrixa4299 You do realize gods are created in likeness of the people who worship them right? So saying there were black ancient Scandinavian gods implies there was a black population to base them on. Which is not true, and is a simple case of cultural appropriation.
so the giants kill himself or killed by thor and odin long time ago?
I’m assuming they used already dead giants to cover jotunheim
@@reyagu4607 but corspe the giants death still fresh and blood too
The giants put their souls into the marbles and left their bodies in the realm to trick Odin, but I would say that they killed themselves.
@@hasanhaitham276 they couldn't come back even if loki try it ?
@@Bncxx1275 Bodies are too decayed maybe, or Atreus wants to find the other giants in other countries.
