I always appreciate your videos. You need a "merch store" I don't put decals on my 95 F-150, but I'd support your channel by displaying your decal (under the hood with the other decals.) Lol
Thanks man! I appreciate it.🤙 I do have a merch store. If you go to my channel page. There are tabs at the top under the banner picture. Click the one that says store. I have stickers and t-shirts.
Always a pleasure, friend. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Jason!🤙
Nice I’ve been wanting to add a box on my 92 with a 347 stroker but don’t know if it’ll be as easy as yours since I have a mega squirt as my ecu
I know I will be at the Detroit International Auto Show this weekend.
Awesome
#3 It fires Multiple times per cylinder under 3000rpm. Each cylinder is now getting 3 sparks at a higher voltage. Above 3000rpm is getting 1 good hot spark for a hotter quicker burn of the fuel in the cylinder.
Ah! That’s why I hear both types of firing.
Hi Minute Masters, long time fan, you've helped me restore my 94 Bronco! I was wondering if you could make a video on how to flush an e4od transmission? There is so much conflicting information online about the "proper" way to do it and I've never done a transmission flush before, definitely feeling anxiety about attempting it myself.
Hi Caleb, so flushing a transmission via a machine does have the potential of causing internal damage which is why flushing is frowned upon.
However, introducing new fluid while evacuating the old is pretty straightforward. I have a couple of videos that show different aspects of this. My recent, how to remove a transmission video shows you how to empty the transmission fluid. That’s the same process I would use to do a “flush” and then all you have to do is pour new fluid down the dip stick tube. It’s also a good idea to drop the transmission pan and change the filter. That’s the other part of making sure you introduce new fluid.
Thank you! Looking forward to more great videos!
@calebsmith5963 I just want to add to his point that flushing a transmission applies a pressure to remove all that stuff. A certain pressure that the tranny is not designed to handle. Usually a flush causes more problems than its worth. Doing a regular drain and filter change is the way to go.
Quick question....there's no crank position sensor on the 93 f250xl 5.8 2wd OBD1 system right? Ford Dealership seems to think crank position sensor may be causing issues with my truck. I know newer obd2 5.8l have the sensor, ive seen pics. with the obd1 system i thought there was no crank position sensor because the distributor has hall sensor sending pip signal to tfi ignition module instead...does that seem right?
I don’t think there is a crank position sensor either because I remember researching that the pip signal comes from the distributor.
What do you mean by setting your timing again? I will install the 6A Ultra onto my carbed 350 and it is needs 10-12 degrees. Is it deifferent with the box?
So my truck is set to 10° before top dead center from the factory. I kind of error closer to 11 or 12° top dead center when I installed this box and I rechecked the timing. The timing was around 5 to 7° top dead center essentially when I was driving the truck, it seemed like it didn’t have enough power so I adjust the timing back to that 11 to 12° top dead center and everything ran perfectly.
So is it a noticeable difference? Details?
I will have a separate video on that. Based on my driving, I would 100% say there is a noticeable difference.
I have a 99 dodge ram 1500, i got one of these boxes off of another 90s model page truck and was curious how it could be installed in mine? And how could i test the box before use?
It probably installs similarly but you would need the adapter harness for your truck or you would hardwire it.
Have you done a video on how that MSD box install has improved your engine performance?
I haven’t yet. Once I get the 4 x 4 suspension on the front. I’ll be able to drive it again and film that video.
Hey love video. I’ve been looking at getting one of these for my ‘96 bronco, but I’ve heard some bad stories about how these have become a lot less reliable. Will you be giving an update on performance gains you noticed and if any issues that arise?
You bet I will! I had the same concerns and so far, it’s been very reliable and the performance is noticeable.
Some people are having success. And some are not.
It's a hit or miss.
The success rate is not high enough for me.
I've got $2,000 worth of MSD junk sitting my shelf. Anybody want it ?

@@jesse75 So far so good for me.
@@TheMinuteMasters lucky guy ? Explain exactly how you wired the box in and where.
MSD , Holley tech, always blames the installation.
😍
Are you going to do a MSD distributor next
I may not, at least for now. I am thinking of upgrading the ignition coil and plug wires.
You should do a quick4 transmission tuner tutorial, and installation video
I’ve never heard of quick4. Do they make them for 4r70w?
I believe so yes
Can you do a video of how to do #4
During the install video I show you how to adjust the timing. I also have a dedicated timing video as well.🤙
Does this work with bullnoses?
I don’t see why not. The kit itself isn’t very vehicle specific. You can buy accessories that help adapt it to a specific vehicle though.
Does it run better with the system
In my opinion, without any scientific data, I think it does.
Does this buy pass the stock ignition box
It connects to the existing system. In the event the box fails, you can bypass the box.
Msd is bace off the ford ignition system
