Well as Vector would almost always say “it’s all part of being a good detective” I was half right about who sabotaged silvers plant I knew it would be Rough and Tumble but it was just Rough however Rough wanted the gem for himself and he though he would win if he got rid of one of the flowers participating by replacing soil with herbicide powder and because of that he was disqualified from the contest because he tried to cheat so there
Honestly, for what this was, it was ok. I won’t lie, and I’m going to get that I’m not the only one, but I saw Rough sabotaging the plant from a mile away, but I didn’t expect Silver and Charmy, however, to be fair to both of them, what they did had very good intentions behind it and felt very in character. Honestly, I was a bit surprised that Tumble had nothing to do with Rough’s scheme. However, I do have one problem with this book, and that is the fact that it was very similar to the Halloween special we got last year, with the entire thing of Sonic, Tails, and the Chaotix do an investigation, with the only difference between these books being that Espio and Charmy are suspects this time around. However, I think the reason they went this route for both of these books was to reference The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, which I kind of appreciate. I was a bit surprised that Blaze didn’t appear in this book, saying that she is on one of the covers, and that kind of felt for me anyway like false advertisement. Overall, this book was ok, but I think it’s just about time we returned to the main story arc. Can’t wait for issue 70!
To be completely fair, IDW has a trend of including characters in covers without the characters actually showing up. Like for the 900th adventure comic, Silver, Whisper, Tangle and the Chaotix were in one of the covers, but didn't even get a mention in the comic itself.
Blaze was there in spirit. She taught Silver how to garden more properly. Which in turn helped him grow a flower in his garden for the competition. And it even caught fire just like Blaze 😂
I feel like maybe he might've known since he's chuckling at 4:01 but then that still doesn't make sense. He obviously cared about his own flower entry but then doesn't even say anything about the whole ordeal in the end anyway

Is anyone else surprised that Shadow wasn't in this comic? He loves flowers. I know Ian Flynn is hesitant to use him because of the sega mandates, but he is canonically confirmed to be a flower gardener. In the end, I get it. I have just been wanting to see Silver and Shadow bond over gardening. Over all still a great issue.
Don't you know, Shadow doesn't love anything anymore. He hates everyone. He hates Rouge, he hates Omega, and he definitely hates Silver. Apparently, that's what SEGA thinks makes Shadow cool (Go duck yourself, SEGA!🤬)

I think first we need to wait for Sonic x Shadow Generation so that the mandates do not interfere in the comics, because in the game Shadow is written so far - he feels sorry for Biolizard instead of despising it.

I ABSOLUTELY been eating up the background character designs! They are all SO GOOD! Their game is up there with Helluva Boss; each design looks unique like they have their own interesting stories! It's incredible! Sorry but as an artist myself, I have to gush. ☺
Agreed. I wouldn’t be surprised if these artist have made OCs in the past and that gave way to the general art style. We need these designs in the games.
When I first looked at cover A of Spring Broken, I thought that Sonic and some of his friends, including Rough and Tumble, turned small and must found their way to get back to their normal size while exploring Silver's garden through the eyes of small bugs in a big world around them. I don't know why I thought that, it just came to my head at first glance, you know?

Yeah, if Silver continues to be the “tormented” one then he’ll be a difficult character to follow and Silver fans will catch on and get upset if they haven’t already.
I'm the only one who loved the duo of Tails and Sonic throughout the magazine. They are truly the best and most beautiful brothers. It's great to see Amy among the judges and not the contestants. It's a wonderful development Silver's addition is a wonderful addition that reminds us of the side chapter of him growing plants with Blaze and that he also loves them because in the future there won't be any of them. He also asked them to put Charmy in the soil, because he is the only one who will notice it, because he is his bee When I read anything from them, I am very happy with the many wonderful details, although I feel somewhat frustrated with the magazine because it is not worth all that waiting with the loss of many of the characters that were placed on the cover, such as Knuckles. But I keep repeating it because, despite my very old age, I still enjoy every moment of Sonic as if I was watching it for the first time. I am truly one of his biggest fans.❤❤❤
this was okay but kinda disappointed, I was hoping that ' honey we shrunk the kids moments' this is a 5/10 for me now meantion there's no Tangle Whisper and Knuckles and Blaze, it was okay both summer and winter were better, this is low next to the Halloween one.

Even though the mystery culprits were pretty obvious from the get-go, it was still nice to see Sonic and Tails team up with Vector again. (The heck is that gum made of? Or what's in Vec's salive that makes it so sticky and waterproof?) I only wish Silver got his flower properly judged. Poor boy. Everything he cares about gets consumed by flames one way or another. It’s a cute comic but it’s got its issues For one, it’s way too predictable (and yes I know it’s a kids comic) but the 2nd I saw Tumble’s “heh heh” panel, I knew it was Rough and Tumble And second, it feels a bit too similar to how the Halloween special was, with the Chaotix solving it with Sonic and Tails mixed in I was hoping in for something more of a whodunit situation and more of a funny twist at the end Also, Blaze didn’t show up and neither did Knuckles, Tangle or Whisper despite being on the covers, what the heck? lol I give it a 7/10

I think the narrative is a consequence of this being a “canon” comic. A lot of the big stuff you’re hoping for shall now be done through the game medium and IDW is here to fill in gaps.

My poor Silver! He worked so hard! If you ask me, he should have thrown the culprit across the grounds instead of just doing a dunk tank. It was a good read, but I feel like more could have been done.

I think this is the weakest of the seasonal specials but it is still a good story and is better than some of the main series issues. The highlight for me was when Sonic got the balloon for the girl.

It’s a cute comic but it’s got its issues
For one, it’s way too predictable (and yes I know it’s a kids comic) but the 2nd I saw Tumble’s “heh heh” panel, I knew it was Rough and Tumble
And second, it feels a bit too similar to how the Halloween special was, with the Chaotix solving it with Sonic and Tails mixed in
I was hoping in for something more of a whodunit situation and more of a funny twist at the end
Also, Blaze didn’t show up and neither did Knuckles, Tangle or Whisper despite being on the covers, what the heck? lol
I give it a 7/10
I felt the same way as you on the cover side of things Blaze, Knuckles Tangle & Whisper never appeared In Spring Broken like you mentioned It's a bit like false advertisement In a way. 7/10 from me as well It was an ok Issue.
It feels very similar to the Halloween Special too solving the mystery of who It was.

I would love Sonic to compete with Anime again and not throw away narratives these.
I think the narrative is a consequence of this being a “canon” comic. A lot of the big stuff you’re hoping for shall now be done through the game medium and IDW is here to fill in gaps.
You know my guess was half right it was Rough and tumble but it was only Rough that sabotaged the contest so he can take the giant purple gem for himself looks to me Rough and Tumble are never gonna learn their lessons am I right?

tbh i find this extremely underwhelming, honestly didn't care for this one but i had high hopes for this.
I enjoyed reading Spring Broken! Love the artwork colours In this special overall It couldn't have been a bit better but still I enjoyed reading It. I respect your opinion everyone has different views when reading the IDW Sonic Comics.
My poor Silver! He worked so hard! If you ask me, he should have thrown the culprit across the grounds instead of just doing a dunk tank.
It was a good read, but I feel like more could have been done.
@@MikeTheHedgehog yeah, i genuinely love the idw series, and while i think it was underwhelming, it was a nice breath of fresh air away from all that has happened in the latest issue with the riders arc.

I think this is the weakest of the seasonal specials but it is still a good story and is better than some of the main series issues. The highlight for me was when Sonic got the balloon for the girl.
Word of advice: don’t use sonic’s music
Fitting for the world though. It’s something the movies should do more often.
