- Trick or treat, it’s Charmy Bee...t! It’s “A Very Chaotix Halloween” as Vector and Espio take their little buddy out in search of sweet rewards. Little do they know, there’s a monster stealing candy from all the kids! Fortunately, there’s no mystery the Chaotix Detective Agency can’t solve, especially when they’ve got a little help from Sonic and Tails!

That was a good special. Loving the love the Chaotix are getting with these last couple issues. Since there was a cover with Eggman on it, I thought he'd be involved in this plot. But I guess not. Tails looks so cute as a cowboy, and he showed of some awesome skills! A couple weeks early, but Happy Halloween everyone! 🎃
I really enjoyed reading this Halloween Special and I liked the last part at the end as well where everyone shared the candy 🍭🍬😊
Eggman could just go as himself for Halloween; he'd scare plenty of people! 🤣
False advertising. Something IDW does well, but it's not going well for them, since they've been delisted from the stock market six months ago.

I would have called the parents and scold them for not telling their children to NOT follow strangers in the forest.

@@valentinkambushev4968 Who says the parent's didn't tell them? Whether or not kid choose to obey their parents is ultimately still their decision. You can lead the kid away from curious places, but you can't take the curiosity out of the kid. Honestly, the parents of these four should be the ones knowing what they've been up to. I mean, one of them built a pair of DOCTOR OCTOPUS ARMS for crying out loud!

The lighting and shading in this issue is sooo damn good.
It's adorable seeing the Chaotix being more like a family than an agency. Vector and uncle Espio taking care of thier adoptive son (or 3 brothers).
While the plot was pretty predictable with monster being a bunch of bad kids (let's hope the Chaotix don't get sued by some angry parents) it's still an enjoyable read because of all the fun interactions with these well established characters on a Halloween night. The holiday, the time of day and the setting are all things people can never get enough of. People just love Halloween. The costumes were nice though I do wish Sonic had one too. Speaking of costumes

This issye was so charming! It's wholesome how Sonic and Tails decided to help some friends out and in the end, promote a good act of selflessness, they definitely deserved the rest of that candy.

Just coming by to state my appreciation and all🙏😊
And Charmy was the MVP👑 he had a lot of selflessness and stood up for the right thing *bringing Halloween joy back to all other kids* while missing out on it himself 👏👏
My one nitpick is that EACH of the kids came around before they were made to give back the rest of the candy.
A "think how others feel, they're not selfish like you" probably shouldn't be enough to convince everyone so quickly if they were so dead-set on this. If you're going to have them ALL learn a lesson, then maybe have some of them realize it after they were made to be nice to everyone else and Tails still allows them to get some afterwards.
But that aside, this was a really interesting little downtime break comic.
2:44- 3:01 These two panels have more red flags in them than a soviet parade.
Strangely, I'm just kind of in love with how they drew Charmy's wing blur this issue.

Save for Shadow and the robots; literally all of Sonic and Friends are kids, teens, or under the age adults. What do you think happens when they face Eggman?

Absolutely loved this issue everyone looked so cute in there costumes I was a little surprised when the ones who were stealing the candy was a bunch of kids with robot arms I thought it was eggman also kind of wish sonic was in a costume during this issue that would’ve been cool but this was great glad we got to see more of our amazing detectives 😊 🥰💚💜💛💙🧡🔍
This one was great, the whole theme about halloween is something I've always loved in media and comics. Its probably my favorite part of the year.

I wish Sonic got in on the Halloween costumes, even if his intentions were to look over Tails rather than Trick or Treat himself.
Plus the vampire kid messed up when he encountered Cowboy Tails. The guy does NOT tolerate bullies.

@@videogollumer can't help it. Whenever I see good character development in IDW (or any modern Sonic media for that matter), my mind immediately goes: "Why can't Shadow have this!?"

Plus, even tho I never minded Shadow since the start of the comic, he was always "in-charactet enough" (excluding the fact that he was always thinking he is superior) his character got better at the Eggperial City Arc

When I saw the one Trick or treat kid dress as a skeleton costume, it reminds me of movie "Karate Kid" original Halloween scene. Wonder if any of them are a Karatie Kid fan of that trillagy 1-3.
It's Halloween, and Sonic isn't even costumed up? That's just dull.
And it has nothing to do with mandates, either; Sonic has a vampire costume courtesy of Sonic Channel.
Well, here's another way of looking at it, people would either think he's someone in a realistic looking Sonic costume or would be surprised that Sonic the Hedgehog is at their door. I mean, his world practically views him as Superman.

I don’t know why but it bothers me a lot that tails was wearing a costume and sonic was just stuck being naked
I wish he got in on the fun. I know that there are rules stating that Sonic can’t change his attire, but it’s hard to justify not that Murder of is a thing.

13:31 This rat clearly doesn't pay attention to world events. Playing nice has gotten Sonic incalculably far. Rebuilding efforts are going quite well. And while Eggman hasn't gone away forever, he has yet to actually win and hold it.
Except for when he tried to be nice to his loathsome copy, Metal Soulless, which triggered Eggman's return from being Mr. Tinker, thus leading to the release of the Metal Undeath and untold suffering with it. It doesn't matter that he couldn't have known it would happen; restoring Metal Soulless' autonomy was downright stupid. I'm not mad at Sonic for it anymore, but I can't pretend it didn't happen.

@@videogollumer Yet Gemerl and Omega found new lives away from the Doctor, one largely a peaceful existence. Also the late ladybug Badnik. Furthermore, we have seen Metal exercise free will and emotion, even without the Neo upgrades.
@@bthsr7113 None of which refute a thing. Metal Sonic is not a person because he never chose to become one; he chose to STAY a weapon. Why? Because it's who he is. Metal Sonic is literally the embodiment of Eggman's hatred for and envy of Sonic placed into a Metal Shell. He can't know love because his very being is hate. He's basically a robotic demon. He hates everyone: Sonic, Eggman, even himself. Even if he killed Sonic, would he find happiness? I feel it is already up for debate as to whether Eggman sees Metal as his favorite "son" or his favorite looking glass. Here's a question: if Metal Sonic killed the real Sonic, who would Eggman credit, Metal Sonic or himself?

It is partially a joke, but I do think the issue was quite boring and had some wasted potential tbh.
Also, Straw is a Badnik from Sonic Advance 2, which also appeared in issue 65 ironically enough.
