Especially when focusing on the Seargent Major in slow motion as he says "prepare to defend yourselves" that shit gets me jacked every time.

It is such a shame that some people think that freedom of speech means they have the right to be so disrespectful to those who have died for our freedoms. Actually it depends on where in the country you were. If you were in the central highlands, as this movie was, then large scale pitched battles were actually common. If you were in the east, you could expect periodic encounters with snipers. Ambushes were common everywhere else.

As a rule, if someone says they served in the 15th Infantry in WWII, for instance, he means the 15th Infantry Regiment, which was part of the 3rd Infantry Division. If they're going to refer to their division, they will say "3rd Infantry Division."
true the only poeple who have the right to critisize this war are the poeple who were around during the cold war era. It was a different culture back then a different time, he is probably some 19 year old kid who knows nothing of the time period, only that poeple died in vietnam...
