Tommy's father is luckily alive and well. That picture in the beginning is connected to what's on the screen behind Tommy. No, it's Merlin from the movie Kingsmen 2. The same guy as you see on the screen in the background a lot. He sings this song at that sequence in the movie.

Tommy's voice! Man, he has it all. I loved this version and the little snippet of the Deliverance theme at the end. That said, give me a choice of listening to John Denver's version, and this one, and it's Denver all the way. I agree with you, Bill. There is just something about John Denver's voice that reaches deep inside. His "Calypso" makes me stop in my tracks and just listen, every time.
I love Tommy's voice! I love his sense of humor as well. This is a great version but John's version will always resonate with me. I don't know of anyone that covers Calypso or Annie's Song which is a shame. Those are the tunes I like to introduce people to who aren't familiar with John Denver. I'm surprised Nightwish doesn't do a cover of Calypso since it's right up their alley. I would be cool if they did! ❤️❤️

Tommy "ReinXeed" Johansson, born October 26, 1987 in Boden, is a Swedish multi-instrumentalist, singer and music producer, best known for his work in the bands Sabaton and Majestica. So Tommy can play most of the instruments and most of Tommy's covers are recorded at home in harbor's home. It's just Tommy, all the instruments, a camera and a computer to record. Tommy slaps a new Covers every Friday at 12 noon, Swedish time.
