It looks like as you pull down the handle it is pointing at the target line. Thanks Clay.
Very welcome!
Isn’t the angle dependent on the height of the golfer and how upright they set up? I have been pondering this as a matter of finding a perfect geometry for my golf swing. Also been wondering about the center of mass of the golf club and/or the arms/club system.
Thanks for the videos clay, would you do a witb videos to see what clubs you use for a round? Thanks
As a beginner golfer, it took me a while to break my habit of pulling my club in the downswing
Well, i understand your point about a deep backswing; but, the point you make is based on a one dimensional swing perspective. The takeaway should be two dimensional. Obviously, in the waggle the digiti minimi/extensor digiti minimi tendon and the flexor retinaculum, in the left hand, work as antagonistic opposites, as the club is returned to the ball. The digiti minimi has to react against the flexor retinaculum to bring the club to a stop. This fully activates the extensor digiti minimi tendon and the flexor retinaculum; and, they then control the club in the takeaway. This is how great players like jones and hogan, played with deep backswings. The deep backswing that you demonstrate is controlled exclusively by the flexor retinaculum.
Sorry! It's not a question of theory and degrees!
